These are human beings doing their best. Sure it takes time to get through, but they also don’t rush you off the phone and help you to the best of their abilities. I got so much emotional support and tips to help me. They cry too because their job isn’t easy and they’re trying. If you really tried to get through, then you would.
It’s been 14 weeks since my claim was put in review for no apparent reason. I have emailed multiple times, I have tried calling multiple times, I tried the chat. Never heard back firm anyone, it’s impossible to get in contact with them.
I have never had such a extremely difficult time getting ahold of someone to talk to regarding my PUA Unemployment Benefits Filing in my 47 years on this earth. If they need more customer service representatives to handle the extremely large overflow of calls I highly recommend that they put some of those unemployed people to work.
I have tried calling over 100 times every day and cannot get past the busy signal. It takes forever to get through to an actual person via the online chat, and when you finally do they offer little to no help. I was told that there was nothing they could do to help me and that I would to call the service hotline, which is laughable because its impossible to get through. Being 6 months into the pandemic, you'd think they'd have a better system in place for handling the number of incoming calls daily. What a joke.
Since july I cannot reach anyone at uc service center. Today was the first time I was actually able to get passed the busy tone. I had to redial this number over 200 times today just to get to through. I was on hold for a whole hour hearing automated messages only to find out it was just after 4pm already and the center was closed for the day. I am infuriated and completely broken emotionally. This is a nightmare. I have spent weeks doing this over and over and over. I have to give up an entire day to redial this office just to get into a call que and wait for a rep to finally speak with me. I can't believe I got though today only to find out the office was closed. I wasted an entire day on hold trying to get info and now I have to relive this nightmare all over again tomorrow.
Don't know how to pickup a phone. Purely ridiculous
NO ONE is of any help whatsoever! Nobody gets anything right that you put in front of them which they asked for. I feel sorry for all intelligent, hard-working, driven claimants who must deal with the PA Unemployment Center where the system is clearly dumb. The agents have NO clue what they're doing. This service designed to help people attain benefits, which I like many other other people ARE entitled to, as well as find help for other unemployment needs, is a JOKE!
TRAIN these agents.
GET them Reading Comprehension skills.
But for anything good to happen where it's a functional system, to borrow from President Trump, "drain the swamp!"
AVOID the Pennsylvania Teleclaims Information Line and calling UC at all costs. NOTHING will be done for you promptly, accurately, intelligently, and above all, professionally!
I was experiencing everything everyone else is describing here. The unemployment compensation system is a mess to say the least but if you're here looking for answers like I was know this: If you go to a PA Careerlink office they will help you sort your issues out. There are actual people there you can talk to and they are very helpful and informative. After months of issues with the unemployment website and phone number they fixed everything for me in 20 minutes. It's ridiculous this is not listed as an option on the unemployment compensation website. I went to the Carrerlink office in Norristown but I believe there are others throughout PA.
I've been unemployed for a month now. I was terminated for health reasons and missing work for surgery. The woman I spoke with messed everything up then had to transfer my claim. I'm still waiting to hear from someone and have been filling but not receiving unemployment for a month now!
I called and hear my hold time is greater than 1 hour then get hung up on! I sent a message using their contact page weeks ago No response!
I guess the new procedure is detturing so people have to give up..
As if being laid off isn't stressful enough. If they're going to block my unemployment compensation over a technicality, they can at least answer their phone when I'm ready to verify my information. Even better, since it's 2017, they can have an email address. Additionally, the woman I spoke to about this gave me a fake number to reach her at at the end of the call.
I have been out of work since 1-31-17. Filed initial claim and bi weekly claim. When I tried to file another bi weekly claim was told my initial claim was inactive (no reason why) and to re-apply or re-open initial claim. Have been calling the office since February and ALWAYS get busy signalany time of the day & no matter what day. I still have not been paid anything!!! I have bills due as well as taxes coming up. May have to send all the bills to the UC Service Center to be paid as they appear not to want to pay me.
Very frustrating. Have been paying into this for 44 years with no claims!!! Not a good start!!! :(
This is a fake number
Fake #? Tells me "this verizon wireless customer cannot be reached and hangs up on me
I'm in Wilkes-Barre and I'm told this number can not be reached from my calling area?! I'm 15 mins away. Seriously wtf
Like losing your job is not stressful enough then it comes time to file for unemployment and you can't get hold of anyone and the wait time is 40 plus minutes.
THIS NUMBER IS ALWAYS BUSY BUSY BUSY! I HAVE TALKED TO PEOPLE IN THIS OFFICE BEFORE THOUGH, THEY ARE VERY NICE!
