I ate here about about two days ago and thought the food was pretty good ! I loved the pizza and the salads are huge ! They give you more than enough and aren't greedy in keeping you full for the money . From judging the reviews I think it's pretty cool that they are at least answering their customers back which shows they care . My wife loved your cake as well. Thanks for the awesome experience.

Hmmmmm. I will say I was excited to try this place. That quickly changed once I tasted the food. I mean I guess I expected more from the look of the place.. I mean a little 'Mom and pop" Italian/pizza joint. Yeah, not so much. It was a disappointment. We had a group of 8 and none of us were impressed - the fries were good. we waited a while for a waitress one of our guys were forgotten. we had pretty much finished our food before he ever got his food. and he took his pizza with I'm Yep you guessed it they charged him anyway yeah I wouldn't go back but Troutman is only so big.

I've eaten here twice. Once at lunch and once for dinner. For lunch it was quiet and relaxed. I was able to order and get my food at the counter and find my own seat to eat (table service is an option as well). For dinner it was full-on table service. The pizza is fantastic. I'm eating my way through the town but I don't think I need to try pizza anywhere else. The bread served with oil is not grand, but it isn't bad. It's hard rolls but the bread inside is soft. They serve dozens of Italian dishes, as well as wine (by glass or bottle) and other alcohol. Eventually I'll try the other dishes and update but for now I'm happy eating all of their pizza!

I am giving only four stars for two reasons:
First, the evening shift is a bit of a mess. There seems to be a lot for the wait staff to do, so the customers wait a while between refills and other requests. It seemed like there were too many busboys, as they were walking around, sometimes goofing off, in the dining area. They killed the 'upscale' vibe that the eatery could have otherwise had. Of course, there are kids eating making noise as well but the younger male employees were being unprofessional and could have been helping the wait staff more (just a thought).
The second reason is that the cannoli served was terrible. The outside was a bit too crunchy/hard to break apart and the inside tasted like a powdered pudding mix that hadn't been stirred all the way and then frozen. It was gritty and unpleasant. To me, it was unappetizing but it's possible that others love it that way.
Regardless of the dessert, if you want a pizza, go here. It's yummy.

Wonderful service and excellent food! Wait staff is very accommodating and kind/friendly. Very romantic atmosphere with dim lighting in the back and soft music playing. Front of restaurant for more casual seating. Not an upscale restaurant but certainly feels like it. Abundant portions of food, except salad seemed small. Great hidden gem in the middle of Troutman!

This would definitely be a five star review if it weren't for the slow service. We were there on a Saturday night but it wasn't too crowded. It was quite a while before we were acknowledged after being seated. During the whole visit the service was very sluggish. However, the food was amazing and I suppose worth the wait. Will give it another chance.

Excellent. We are moving to the area and decided to try Pellegrino's in hopes of a go to Italian/pizza place. I had the meatball hoagie and fries. Great tasting meatballs, right amount of sauce and fresh cheese that you could taste! Fries perfect and nice and crisp. Took 2 pizzas back for our work crew and they raved about them! We will be regulars. And the service was great. Lady was very nice and informative.
