First timers. I love this place. Great food, great choices, reasonable prices. Large portions, too much food. Great wait staff.

Great service and fun local casual atmosphere. Good solid food selection. Always a good time and good meal. Our favorites the swordfish sandwich and pan seared crab cakes. The cakes are almost all crab. Simply fabulous.

Best seafood in Cincinnati. Fried cod is marvelous. Four types if seafood tacos. Onion rings are a study in perfection. They don't fall apart when you take a bite.

Amazing!!!! They tout "the best calamari in Cincinnati" and they most definitely have the best I've ever had. Generous portions, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Our new favorite place. Highly recommend the stuffed grouper.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Fresh cooked meals, featuring seafood items in either the dining room or the sports bar. Best clam chowder in the city. Also check their daily specials.

We've been here two times. Both times it was packed. This restaurant has a loyal local clientele and I can see why. The food is good and plentiful. The bill was reasonable. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. We've come both times so I could have scallops. I just wish they had a non fried option. If we are back in Cincy chances are very good we will be back here.

Very nice table by the window. The server was great and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was sub-par at best. The calamari was undercoated. I had the scallops on bed a of grits with mango salsa. The grits were oddly bitter and the scallops tasted like they hadn't been cleaned properly due to the sand and grit I felt during my first bite. The manger was kind and took it off the bill. My girlfriend had a shortrib grilled cheese that was very try and flavorless. She had to ask for a dipping sauce just so she could chew and swallow the sandwich. Needless to say we won't be going back. Our expectations were too high I guess being that it's always busy and had heard some good things but clearly from people with crappy pallets.

Awesome seafood joint! I felt like I was eating at a dockside joint in Panama City Beach! Prices are very reasonable too! Beyond that I'd say, try getting a grouper sandwich anywhere else in town, and you'll pay up towards $20+.
Oh and I tried the conch chowder, it was delish! Had a nice kick to it, so if you have 0 spice tolerance, I wouldn't recommend it, but I'd get it again in a heartbeat!response / report this review -

Some of the best seafood in town is hiding in Anderson. Always happy with the food. Great variety and always a daily special. Beer menu is a little weak, but I love a variety of unique craft beers. Kid friendly too.

The food is awesome! Tastes fresh and delicious every time. I also love the laid back atmosphere and the open bar. Great place to go on a Friday or Saturday night.

This was our first visit to The Reef. I was impressed with the variety of drinks as well as menu items. We shared the calamari as an appetizer, they serve it with some awesome chili sauce as well as marinara. It was really good . Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, including two different kinds of fish sandwiches, chicken, and pasta with fries for my son. The salads and large selection of sides were tasty and inexpensive. I had the seafood stew, it was unbelievably delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. It is hard to find seafood this good anywhere, let alone in Cincinnati. Can't wait to go back!
