I went here for a haircut for the first time today and I loved it. The only downside is that the process takes a bit longer than a regular salon because you have to work with students, however I didn't mind because my stylist (Ricardo) was so good, it was relaxing. Everyone is very professional and it’s reasonably priced.
Absolutely terrible teachers at this place. They start drama, talk about students, and act like teenage girls. Do not waste your time or money at this pathetic school.
Areli Nunez did a Very good Job would definitely recommend this place!!
Jenason made my dead bleached 7 times hair a complete change. The marula oil treatment is AMAZING and my hair feels sooo much healthier. It was a great experience other than a certain gal that worked there sitting in a chair in front of me that was just giving me dirty as looks the ENTIRE time. Believe her name was Trista something. Not sure but I wouldn't recommend going to someone who does that to other people's clients. Not cute, not professional. Girl bye. Other than that, thank you Jenason(: you rock!
The education is top of the line! The learning leaders are very helpful with all of the students. It's very clean and roomy. The students are very well trained, it's almost like they're already pros!
Christian Withers cut my hair yesterday, and also made my day. He was meticuous is his execution of my cut, and the interactions between he, his instrcutors and myself were very organic and heart-felt. I booked an appointment with Christian on my way out the door. Definitely worth my time.
I wish there was an option for no stars, because that's what this place deserves. I needed to take a moment to warn people considering cosmetology as a profession, about this school. Not only is the program COMPLETELY UNORGANIZED, but many of the employees and "learning leaders" are some of the most UNPROFESSIONAL, IMMATURE, ILL-WILLED and DISRESPECTFUL people I have ever encountered in my adult life! Some members of the STAFF will GOSSIP about STUDENTS behind their backs to other students and BULLY them to their faces! This place will try to pull the wool over your eyes to get you to sign, then once you are contracted in, they will completely go back on things they said to get you enrolled and treat you like they never said the things that they did. They hold their students to such high standards, yet some of the employees can behave like teenagers! Even failing drug tests, but still continuing to be employed there. They will do and say anything to get your money! They lie, they cheat, they steal... probably one of the reasons they're being audited right now. If this school was a person, it would be in prison. The things they are getting away with behind the Community's back are APPALING! Majority of the students are absolutely miserable! I only wish someone would have warned me about this place before I went and because of that, I don't feel right not doing everything possible to let people know how absolutely TERRIBLE of an establishment this place really is. PAUL MITCHELL THE SCHOOL WICHITA SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! Please DO NOT waste your time, energy, money or happiness on this school! Cosmetology school should be a fun and exciting time, not a place you feel anxious about going to every day because you don't know what's going to happen or which "learning leader" is going to go off on you that day! If this review helps even just one person reconsider and go somewhere else, then I will feel like I have done the right thing. This place needs to be stopped!
This is a great school with an excellent education. Their staff is incredible. I highly recommend attending or going in for a service.
Don't waste your money at this school!!!!!
3 generations of my family have had their hair cut, colored and styled in the Paul Mitchell Schools for the lowest prices in the city. Because these are students in training, I am guarenteed they are using the latest techniques, product and styles trending at the time. Every experience has been complete satisfaction!
Rachel Richardson gave me the most beautiful hair color. With a mixture of teal and green she transformed me into a beautiful mermaid. I was so impressed that a student in her second month of cosmetology school did such a complicated coloring job on my long hair. I came back 3 days later with my daughter and grandmother and she amazed me again. She did 2 rather complicated cuts on them and they were both extremely happy. My grandmother spoke of how pleasant and enjoyable her experience was with Rachel all the way home. My daughter (who is 6) primped and kept looking in the mirror all day. Her performance speaks volumes about what is possible with a good school, great instructors and a very motivated young woman. We will definitely be back to see her. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
I went in for a reverse ombre. Blonde on top, red on bottom. ( mind you I'm already a natural strawberry blonde).
What I got was bleached out 2 inch roots, and the rest red. Scabs on my head.
They tried to weave in red into the bleached out roots they created, and said I could come back tomorrow for more color if I like. But I still had to pay over $100 and have Scabs, I'd like it fixed but I'm nervous and I don't want to pay more, I'm upset I paid what I did. I started with pretty hair, and never got the ombre I wanted. :/ nice manager though.
I go to school at Paul Mitchell in Wichita, KS. I can honestly say that I've been having the best time of my life here. They teach you everything you need/want to know about hair and makeup and they give you the tools for success. I'm entering week 8 on Monday and I already know how to cut, color, relax, perm, and style hair using a variety of tools. I also learned how to do basic makeup that you can dress up for anytime. The learning leaders are absolutely amazing and they're always there and willing to help. I would highly recommend anyone interested in a career to go to school here. The networking system at Paul Mitchell is phenomenal! When you graduate from Paul Mitchell you can literally go wherever you want to go, you can do anything you want to do. I love the school and my new Paul Mitchell family.
