I love the Wellness Center! My family and I have been members for over 15 years and we feel like family whenever we workout there. We've actually built life long friendships with many of the members. I love that the facilities are ever changing; they change with the times and the needs of the members. It is definitely a full service center that provides something for everyone, regardless of ability. I truly believe it's the #1 facility in Boone.
Thought the customer service and 10 minutes of physical therapy were ok until I got my bill. My insurance copay for physical therapy is $52.00 but they charged me like I was a patient at the hospital and billed me $182.00! Needless to say, I won't be going back.
I don't normally grade health care professionals but these guys deserve a 5 star for sure! First of all, they CARE! Second, they are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Third, they are just very nice and friendly people that you want to come back and see again :)
I came in with several issues. I had some pain in my right hand that was bothering me for several years and a few areas in my back and neck that needed some treatment. Dr Chow addressed all problems in one visit! Moreover, he guided my through every step of the treatment, so I had a clear understanding of why and how this is going to help me.
I was so surprised and happy next morning when I realized that my pain went away. I didn't expect it to get better that quickly to be honest.
I am very thankful for all they have done and highly recommend this practice to anyone who's looking for a chiropractor in the area!
They help out and they far and beyond to get what you need
Nice place with options, but not clean. First, don't plan on calling off hours and finding out WHAT the hours are, there is no set webiste for this place, but it is hidden within the site for the hospital, not sure why it's not more easily accessible - hours are posted at the bottom of a remote page you just MIGHT find after you google the place and go through three of four options. How about a phone system with a message stating hours or a machine for messages? The 'helpers' sit at desks surfing the internet while flakes from peoples bodies, dried sweat and dirt collect in between every machine in the cardio room upstairs. There is a sense of "peer pressure" to go clean your own machine with a spray bottle and nasty rags that have been used on machine after machine - very unsanitary. And be prepared, there will be the guest next to you that sprays away stinking up your air while you try to excercise, this should be the job of the helpers, maybe someone who can clean might want their job in this economy, huh? Pretty good pay for surfing the net. If they have hired a cleaning companythey should find another who can clean. Basketballs are flat and almost useless in the gym, which has ONE basket by the way, not sure why another one is not in there for the size of the gym. Don't expect the lifeguards to be watching you while you swim, they are young and bored.Broken equipment line the hallways upstairs around the 'track', there is no one there to monitor the track, nor the people who don't read the instructions about staying on the 'inside' if they are moving slow, get ready to dodge people constantly if you move faster than a snail. The price for all of this? Incredibly HIGH.
