Pappy & Harriet’s is an awesome and unique dining experience. Located in the old live-in Western movie set, Pioneertown, you’d be forgiven for thinking that it would be all style and no substance. This was not the case! The food and atmosphere was amazing and the place was busy even ‘out of season’ which is always a good sign. With two sittings every evening be sure to book ahead and definitely try some smoked meat!

Pappy & Harriet’s is THE place to go in the Yucca Valley or Palm Springs area. First piece of advice: Go on the web to see what’s happening BEFORE you make the trip. There can be a cover charge because the band playing or, more importantly, you might be waiting a couple of hours for a table. Just be prepared.

Also, don’t be scared of the rustic atmosphere. The food is actually really good. The tri-tip is consistently well prepared, the chili is first rate, and burgers are excellent. Drinks are well made and reasonably priced.

Great-tasting food. Check in on Yelp for a free draft beer (up to $7 value!). They worked me and my friend in about 90 minutes before a live performance without us having to pay. Excellent beer, and great food options. We split veggie chili nachos, Bison burger and house salad for about $16 pp. Awesome atmosphere, if you're looking for dark and cozy. A bit loud for conversation if the band is playing (we left shortly after the concert started as we hadn't paid) but it was a wonderful time.

Trully an amazing American experience. I was visiting the area and everyone recommended that place. Staff is over friendly, atmosphere is about western, modern cowboys, outdoor kitchen, live music with amazing casual musicians, tasty draft beers

Came from Baltimore Md to this special place to celebrate our 3 month wedding anniversary! I was lucky enough to stumble upon this charming place 10 years ago on my first visit to JT and wanted to do it again with reservations and with my favorite person. The food was sensational and the Sunday Band sounded amazing. I will definitely recommend to friends and will try to come back again some day.

This is a funky bar that offers live entertainment (bands) and a lot of alcohol. It is in Pioneertown which is located in Yucca Valley /29 Palms. Wheelchair access is a bit tricky because the parking lot and outdoor arena is a combination is soft sand and dirt. This place is in the middle of no-where. Be cafe full driving at night. It's a two-line road.

This is a one of a kind saloon/restaurant/concert music outlaws night life and food! I sadly missed Paul McCartney there. You will need reservations if you don't like waiting very long. I forget every time when driving there on the spur of the moment and it's usually at least a 30 minute wait to be seated. Veggie burgers are very good and the drinks are fantastic. Great vegan salads too.

I had the best steak here and the portions are amazing! I recommend you make a reservation on a night with live music and come a bit early to check out the western movie set town. It will get crowded but it is a lot of fun.

Cool place. Clearly reflects the Pioneer Town vibe. Very friendly service. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Good drinks. Absolutely worth a visit not just for the music.

Amazing BBQ and great vibe. I would give it 5 stars but took a bit of time to get our food. They were quite busy. Went on a Monday night for open mic which is a lark. Had the full rack which is one of the best rack of ribs I ever had.

Funky old restaurant just out of Yucca Valley in Pioneertown which was built in the 40's as a Western TV/movie set. We went for lunch which was pretty good. Check out the bathroom and add your graffiti to the wall; they paint over it as needed to give a new fresh surface for the next bunch of graffiti artists. And check out the wall of past musicians who have performed there in the past including Paul-yes the Beatle!-McCartney, Robert Plant, Leon Russell, to name a few. So if you're visiting Palm Springs or Joshua Tree Monument, take a detour to Pioneertown and stop in at Pappy and Harriet's for grog and grub.

Came here on a Friday night to see a live band. The venue itself it fantastic, definitely fills up fast! There is plenty of outdoor seating and they have ample heaters to keep you warm. The ambiance is very cool and although the stage and band area is small, it was a fantastic show. You can grab a table for dinner while you wait. 4 stars because the Whiskey Sour I ordered was severely lacking whiskey, decently priced for drinks.
