We worked with Ken from Ruegsegger farms / Paoli Local Foods for our summer wedding. There were nothing but rave reviews of the cookies that he baked for our dessert table - people could not get enough of the espresso chocolate chip. Anyone considering using local businesses for their upcoming wedding will not be disappointed in the quality of product from Ruegsegger farms. I believe you can also find his products at the local farmer's market in Madison at the square on Saturdays. Thank you so much Ken!
Paoli Local Foods is the best. Great products and wonderful service. I come here for the grassfed meats, but always end up purchasing many other items. The pies and quiches are delicious! If you don't see what you are looking for, ask questions. Much of their meat and bones for broth are stored in deep freezer chests, and the owner can quickly put his finger on exactly the cut you are looking for. If eating local, healthy foods is important to you, this is the place to shop.
Ordered lunch here. Nice place. Staff was friendly. Ate outside at a table with umbrella.
Organic . It is a term that is thrown around far too loosely and therefore far too often in America these days ! Agreed ? Well you have finally stumbled upon a place that is literally truly organic because the owner of Paoli Local Foods literally raises his own beef and chickens and turkeys out on his own personal family ( two generations ) farm less than twenty five minutes away from his store in Paoli . He is one of the small number of places that someone can buy an actual locally raised turkey from ! Ken also has one of the few places in the area that you can also buy truly locally raised without any chemicals beef ! Grass fed ? Yes . No chemicals ? Yes ! I also love that he actually has been farming for most of his life ! Nothing corporate or phony here . I have been eating at Ken's Paoli Local Foods Cafe for years and always have had great local food . I know there are reviews that are very negative but I have been going here for over six years ( just live down the road ) and have always had great food ! Try it soon !
Absolutely the worst lunch I have ever had. I payed $10 for the smallest and most poorly made Reuben. They didn't use corned beef. They put very salty old pot roast in it with a ton of sauce and a little bit of sauerkraut on stale bread. I don't know why there were carrots on it. That was most certainly pot roast I know what pot roast is. The Reuben is my favorite sandwich I always get it. There is no way that was right. Couldn't even eat the potato salad. It was warm. My mom got a $9 pulled pork sandwich literally the size of your fist. If it's going to be that size it should be good quality. The bread was stale she said. This one they put hardly any sauce on. The potato chips were stale. This took 30 minutes or more to serve. There was no one there. The waitress was rude and seemed upset that we were there. I'm not upset as much as I am amazed how a place could be that bad. The sandwich hasn't sat with me well. I'm still in disbelief. Really gives that sort of market a bad name. I wrote this so no one else's afternoon gets messed up. I feel like it's a scam and that they are taking advantage of well meaning people.
I love local and tasty food. These guys do alright and have a few things I haven't seen anywhere else. They also have espresso! I often just buy groceries, but every once an d a while I have eaten in the cafe. They are not fast but the food is good.
Friendly, knowledgable, and talented staff. Food is delicious, fresh, and high-quality. Prices are reasonable, considering the nutrients of the food and labor that went into harvesting it. Check it out.
