  Palms Krystal Bar has delicious, quality food at competitive prices. You will love the decor; reminds me of a 50's diner! Also known as Chicken in the Rough, they have one of the best fried chicken dinners I have ever eaten! Mmm, stop in for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

  Good ol' dirty fried chicken. American treasure! It is what it is and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. A great hole in the wall restaurant, with good and fast service.

  Was great as always. They were about ready to close by the time I got there but they welcomed me in and waited for me to eat my meal. Staff was great. A great place to dine thank you.

  What happen? Last time we ate here the chicken was amazing - fresh, lightly breaded and tender. Tonight, it wasn't even average. Chicken stripes were the same over-breaded frozen junk you can get anywhere. Our chicken seemed to have previously cooked warmed up pieces mixed with a new batch. The mac n' cheese was cold. Not worth the $60+ we spent and honestly I wish we had gone to McDs for chicken stripes, instead, they're better and much less expensive. Two stars because the french fries are still excellent, - that's not enough for us to be back though.

  Overall decent food & service and clean.
  We travelled 1 and 1/2 hours to get here.
  What would make it much better would be if they made homemade chicken strips & onion rings instead of frozen.
  Wings were good. Burger decent. Waffles good. Desserts decent.
  They served me old, cold French Fries 🙁
  Most likely won't be back.
  We are very particular. Try for yourself.

  The only. way in front door is heavy door them 3' ramp that can only be used after front door and inside door open. No powered assisted doors. Couldn't go by yourself.
  
  Main entrance small. Bar seating, 4 small tables, and 6 booths (no padding in seats. Husband chicken okay. My onion rings all brunt grease. Fish too over cooked.
  
  There is another room but we were told to sit in very small bar area..

  I have been eating here for over twenty years as we travel to Canada every summer. The food is always quality. It has an old timey dinner feel giving it a fun and unique dinning experience. They offer a delicious perch with shoestring french fries along with a wide variety of other menu items. One of my other favorites is their homemade chicken noodle soup. It is full of veggies, chicken and noodles with delicious flavor. My dad loved they fried chicken livers. It is definitely a unique spot to brag a delicious lunch or dinner.

  Very good fried chicken, extremely crispy, hot and fresh. It is a busy restaurant and the seating area is a bit crowded. The restaurant has a cool retro funky interior as well. The bathroom is extremely tiny but it's clean. Service is quick and friendly in general. One thing's that the food quality is not consistent, which is important to me because I drive over an hour to come here.

  Great food and great service. I've eaten here a couple of times. 1st time, of course I had the fried chicken. It was excellent. Today I tried the combo liver/gizzard platter. I'd never had gizzards before but 3 doubles gave me courage. Wow, they were amazing. So good! Be brave, just try 'em. ;)

  This place was recommended by a friend and we took a chance and drove out from Lapeer to try the chicken. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was great, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was really unique.

  This is the best fried chicken ever. I do not care what anyone else says is the best fried chicken, this will always be my favorite.
  
  HOWEVER, they fry the chicken to order so you will wait a bit before it's ready.

  The service was great and the beer battered fish was great. So was the coleslaw. The steak was cooked to my liking but it wasn't a good cut of meat. Very chewy
