There is a lot to do in this area if you love the outdoors. The drive through this area is beautiful fields and coastline. There are many parks and campgrounds. Fayette is a beautiful abandon iron smelting town that has a great history and open park with with the old buildings still intact and you can freely walk through. Visiting the peninsulas you can see some great views that you don’t normal get to see if Lake Michigan. The campgrounds have public bathrooms and showers and the camp sites have electricity. Many trails and kitch-iti-kipi is a good spot to see the natural spring with beautiful turquoise colored water. Lots of trout in this spring.

There is so much Crystal clear water, it is unbelievable. A must see for the northern vacation. It does not take much time to go out on the raft.

FAB view of a CLEAR 45ft deep spring from a self-propelled guided raft. HUGE fish and bubbling springs in the sand below. Open viewing section in the middle of the raft. Handicapped accessible paths and raft. Wonderful and different serene experience!

Really cool spring. You can go out on the water year round on a self propelled floating deck.

Really neat natural spring with crystal clear water. Hand powered open bottom raft takes you across the spring. You can see the springs bubbling up from the bottom of the lake. Also saw a number of enormous trout. A 30 to 60 minute stop depending on the number of people there. Small gift shop and rest rooms. Need a state recreation pass or one can be purchased there for $11.
