Fair price to enter. Bear cub photo sessions offered. Different caged bear groups. Owners/operators house in middle of ranch. Food on site prepared in microwave & the hour dogs came from freezer, placed in bun & then microwaved. Ewww!

Why in the world would making money by taking photos with cubs, be a good idea? How is this "caring for the bears? If indeed this is a sanctuary, the cubs should have very little human contact, prepared to survive in the wild, and set in natural habitat when appropriate. Bears are NOT photo props. Bears are not a means to profit by, regardless of their best interest.

I was amazed at the beautiful landscape that they have to roam and call home. I had so much fun here!! I thought the prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly. It was so much fun to see the bears walking through the woods, playing in the pond, and feeding them apples!! I also really loved getting our picture with the bear cub and a chance to pet her for minute. She was so sweet and liked her treat on that spoon very much! This stop was a highlight on our vacation. Thank you so much for the opportunity to get up close to these beautiful animals.

We took our sons to see the bears and we all loved seeing them so close! Very nice big and clean areas for the bears to roam and some even posed for a picture. The bathrooms needed attention. I will go visit them again, worth the price. Loved the faces on the trees too!😀

Great place to visit for an afternoon. They have a nice gift shop with bear items to purchase. Petting the bears is not like it may seem in the flyers, you pay 20$ per car to get in then its 10$ to take a picture with the bear cub. The photo and petting lasts less than 1 min, which was really disappointing. They did not even let us take our own photo or take any that were good. I wish we got just a min longer with the cub and better photos.

I finally got to visit today, this place is amazing and a must see! God bless this man for rescuing these bears. Don't listen to Amy Spencer, there's always a critic in the group. I read the review before I went, and as a fellow animal rescue volunteer, all I witnessed is a bunch of bears very well taken care of and very happy. In the cub picture area, the minute a cub showed stress she was switched with another that was more than happy to jump up and get some jam. These bears are having a great life and enjoying themselves instead of being euthanized.

Loved It! Would go again. Bears are very much loved and cared for. Enjoyed meeting Dean and Jewel. They are real friendly and willing to share their stories. I suggest buying the book for $5 on Dean's life adventures written by his son. Very interesting read and helps with the support of the bears. Thank you for sharing your passion with the public.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't like zoos. I just don't like idea of animals constantly being stuck in small enclosures with nothing but a few yards of space to move around in. This Bear Ranch is a wonderful place. The bears have lots of space to run around in; there is even a pond for them to swim in and logs full of grubs and ants for them to eat and claw at. The bears look healthy and genuinely happy as opposed to bored out of their mind like you see at zoos sometimes. It is such a nice place for bears that the wild bears have even tried to get in. The gift shop has the most adorable things at great prices. The only downside I saw was that the bathrooms for people were basically a glorified outhouse without running water, but they are in the process of building new ones. I also wish there were more elevated structures to take pictures from, but I'm thinking that may be something they just haven't gotten to yet. It would have been nice if there had been a bit more advertising of the Bear Ranch on the road leading to it, because there were no signs at all until we were literally there (and we were worried we'd gotten lost). Not sure if it was the weather, but there were lots of mosquitoes. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm so glad I went!

We stopped here yesterday on our way to another destination. We had heard from a friend that it was some kind of bear snctuary. Maybe it is but the only information we saw was about how the owner originally purchased bears. And there is no info on their website about it being a sanctuary of any kind. The larger enclosures were interesting and it's good to know the bears have plenty of space to move about. The younger ones were playing in the water and wrestling which was cute to see. The truly awful part was the cub pens. There were three cubs, one in a pen by itself. This was the one used for photo ops. All of the cubs were incredibly stressed and were pacing back and forth trying desperately to get out. It seems gross to me (and my wife) to use an innocent bear cub for a $10 photo op, especially when they all seem so stressed. There weren't enough things in the pens for the cubs to do- no toys, no trees to climb. It was heartbreaking to see and really ruined the rest of the experience for us. There also weren't any staff around to answer questions except for the kid who took our money when we pulled in. Will never come back.

Great place for the family! Exciting for us all. The cubs are so cute & we got to see two adult bears wrestling. The gift shop had many reasonably priced great souvenirs. Don't forget to wear mosquito repellent.
