Great rodeo to take kids. They serve a BBQ before the big event on the premises so you can get a fun night all in one place. Can get discount tickets in advance at various gas stations and stores locally. They have bull riding and roping, barrel racing and clowns. Sometimes they have a shoe race for the kids. After the rodeo they have live music in the bar area. $ to park, eat and enter.
The food was horrible. The ribs were tough and bland, the chicken was the same. The beans and corn was good. Came to Lake George for a week from Brooklyn, decided to take in the rodeo, and the all you can eat Texas style BBQ buffet. We paid $38, 2 Adults and 2kids, didn't pay for my 4yr old. I thought I was going to eat some good barbecue, after 15mins there we left still hungry. I make a better barbecue ribs/chicken.
I have traveled many places and seen a lot of things of my husband and I and our kids. It was an amazing show. It Is not just a show they are competing they're actually doing and you're right there watching it really good show and really good food
It has potential to be a good show. The announcer and the rodeo clown are extremely annoying. They talk non stop. Instead of describing what is going on they speak about nonsense. The show it dragged out much longer then it has to be due to them talking. We didn't have the dinner so I am unable to comment on that. The show is roughly two hours. $2 for parking. There is another rodeo in the area and I think we will try that one in the future. I wouldn't bother going to this again.
The all you can eat BBQ was delicious! Ribs, chicken, beans, corn, watermelon the works. Very reasonably priced beer, as well. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The only thinf that could.make it better would be a bigger stomach. The actual rodeo was a blast! This is a very real rodeo that DOES NOT at all feel like some cheap tourist attraction. Very highly recommended!
Great venue and entertainment! When they say "rain or shine" they mean it. The night we went a full on thunderstorm came through for at least an hour, but the performance continued without hestitation. The seating area is fully covered, so we stayed dry. True professionals!
Go early and get yourself some bbq! Fun times all around. Yeehaw!
If you want to check out a Rodeo that is family friendly go visit Painted Pony Championship Rodeo. The venue is in a beautiful location. There is a bar/restaurant on site. They host DirtDaze (The off-road Adventure Rider Off-shoot of Americade) A friendly fun place to visit and ride.
Went there for DirtDaze 2017. Wonderful place, just wish the bar accepted debit card.
Fun time for the family and/or friends. Offers a BBQ Buffet before rodeo showtime. The Saloon has a dance floor, bar, ample seating for dining or cocktails at the bar. Also is handicap accessible.
