This is truly an amazing place with gorgeous landscapes, flowering varieties, wonderful layout, incredible artwork and sculptures, and pathways to stroll that are certain to please the most discriminate hiker. Thank you for creating such a wonderful space! My wife and I look forward to the new facility to be erected soon!

Great place for an easy walk. I prefer a more difficult hike, but the trails are clear and well maintained. Also, they now charge for entry.

Enjoyed a guided tree tour but unfortunately the weather was not very accommodating. I hope to return when the leaves are out and it's drier to take a trek into the woods. I would recommend the tour for those wanting to learn more about our local trees. The guides were excellent and informative.

It was a beautiful and well kept property. They have some amazing art and even in the dead of winter it is a sight to see. Loved the small house structure to bird watch in!

Absolutely gorgeous! We went for the holiday lights display and everyone had a blast. It was crazy there! We even arrived early and the parking lot was almost full. It's good the police department was engaged in directing traffic. There was a little confusion before the gates opened about which line you needed to be in, so some signage or people roaming around with instructions would help next year.
The gnome and fairy houses were spectacular works of art, and we enjoyed the permanent sculptures as well. There were a couple musicians along the path that were brilliant and fascinating to talk to. The lights were beautiful and my toddler had a blast running through the light tunnel and playing with the light 'gumdrops'. We skipped the Santa portion but thoroughly enjoyed the rest.
The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful! We will definitely return sometime during the warmer months to enjoy the arboretum in full bloom as well!response / report this review -

Great place to take the kids on a walk. Beautiful shaded trails and incredible flowers. The facilities were very nice and clean. The kids loved the trains. We will definitely be going back soon.

It's a magical place to get in contact with nature. Wonderful gardens. I was plenty of energy and peace after my visit. Just remember to use something to keep mosquitoes away in summer time. Nice place to visit any season.

The enchanted fairy gardens were amazing this summer. It was our first trip to the arboretum and I was pleased to discover that the admission is free on Tuesdays! I was with an 8-year-old who was able to walk and enjoy several miles of the park. Suggestion: don't forget bug spray! We were lucky to run into a family that was willing to share and it was a lifesaver!

AMAZING. If you haven't been here and are thinking about visitingdo! Trails are all maintained very well. Great place for a family trip. Entry for an adult is $3 and well worth it. I will definitely visit many more times to come.

This is a lovely garden with many interesting displays. A great place to walk and stroll. Your children and grandkids will love to explore all of the trails. On a hot summer day it is nice that a large part of the Arboretum is under trees. It is free for Overland Park residents on Tuesday.

Beautiful, well-maintained gardens! This is a very peaceful place to spend a weekend morning or afternoon. Admission is only $3 for adults! If you hike the trails, I would familiarize yourself with the park map before heading out - there are ZERO trail markings.

A Kansas City area treasure located in south Overland Park. The Arboretum is beautiful with winding tree covered trails that incorporate beautiful plants, sculptures and folk art, and a bird watching area. There is a pretty lake with a trail that leads to the Monet garden. The park also has a fun area for children. At the Arboretum entrance there is a nice visitor center that includes a small concession area with limited indoor and outdoor seating. The entire facility is very clean and well maintained with friendly staff.

Beautiful, wide open, inexpensive, and it's not crowded!! Perfect for family day on a nice day :) model trains and seasonal attractions (ex. Fairy garden). Very friendly and helpful staff located throughout park. The fish are HUGE and my toddler loved feeding them his goldfish crackers. We will definitely be going back!!!!

I have been to the Arboretum twice now and have loved it both times. It is such a beautiful place to walk and see many different flowers and observe nature. The first time I was there I got to observe Red Bellied Woodpeckers in their home in a tree. This last time the Peonies were in bloom and I was able to see many peony varieties that I din't even know existed. I love their Garden Railway set ups as well, the person running the trains was quite nice to talk with. A great place to visit.
