Run down, not upkeep, dated. BBQ grills rushed and unusable, no firepit at cabins, only one firepit for all to use, and you have to buy wood from them, firepit filled with dirt, paddle boat looks very unsafe, pontoon boat is older then me. everyone here seems to be family to the owners and seem like a family trailer park. Will not ever come back here

I read that other review from way back. 100% disagree. Have to say our family always had a great time there. Great for family reunions, snomobiler's, four wheel in, or kicking back for a few days on the lake. They give you a row boat to use which is awesome. Nice little sandy beach for the kids and docks. Been there four or five times now. The owners are fair and nice folks too. Our family(s) always enjoyed it. Sunny days are nice there.

Don't count on being treated like an adult if you are under the age of 50. We were talked down to and basically ran out by the owner.

We showed up for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate a birthday, our friend being cancer-free, and 2 of our friends are Iraq war vets. We got in a little late (around 11:30pm), due to some of us having to work. Immediately after arriving, the owner comes out and starts talking to us very forcefully. She was implying we were trying to invite a bunch of people up just to party. We told her we didn't have anyone else coming, but she insisted that we had 12 people. There were 8 of us.

After telling us that the cabin would only sleep 6, she tried to rent us the camp next door for the weekend. That would have been another $300-400 for having 2 extra people. No thanks. Especially with her being verbally hostile towards us.

We searched around and found a rustic campsite to setup tents and our Army friends stayed there for the night. Since we couldn't all stay at this place without renting another camp, we decided this wasn't the place for us. We paid for the night and met our friends at the new campsite.

When we called to let her know we wouldn't be staying there due to her hostility and making our newly cancer-free friend sick to her stomach, she threatened to call the police on us for bailing out. Who, in their right mind, would want to stay after that?

We ended up buying another tent and camping at the rustic campsite. We had a way better time there than we would have trying to deal with further scrutiny from the owner of this camp ground.
