  Didnt get actually enjoy a stay.Just came for a wedding as a stylist.One of the wooden dens had a strong moth ball odor but it is older.The yard was set up beautiful for the wedding

  This historic cozy Bed & Breakfast sits beside one of Darien's colonial era parks that was laid out by General Oglethorp. Zach is an excellent chef. I've enjoyed countless breakfasts and an occasional dinner. If you need a comfortable, clean, quiet rest stop convenient to Savannah and Jacksonville or Saint Simons , I can't think of a better place to stay than Darien. If you want an national award winning breakfast then Open Gates is the place to stay.

  We have been visiting Zack & Carrie at Open Gates for the past three years. They just keep getting better and better! Chef Zack makes the most amazing breakfasts & pastries! The rooms are beautiful and Darien is such a charming stopover - nothing to improve on.

  Zach and Carrie are the best! They waited for our late arrival and greeted us at the house! What a beautiful home - perfect quiet small town B&B! If you are in the area - an affordable must stay over place!
  
  Breakfast was delish! What a pleasant surprise that breakfast was cooked by Zach - a former Chef!! Thank you and we will be back!
