We came into town for the Willene Todd Memorial Rodeo & had originally booked 2 rooms somewhere else in town. Turned out they had bugs so needless to say we had limited options as it's a small town. 12:30am The room said nonsmoking but reeked of cigarettes. It was so hot in the room & took over an hour to cool down. Right off the rip the bedspreads were stained/dirty. We removed them & the sheets appeared to be clean. I was too tired to drive home so we made due but will not be a returning customer.
I called to reserve a room and check prices and the woman on the phone was making a lot of banging noises in the background and I couldn't understand her with such a heavy accent. It took 3 minutes to finally understand price told to me at $72 for one night after reading the reviews I'm thinking no way!
I will not even give this hotel a star. First and foremost I went to the hotel after checking out of the hotel across the street after it clearly had not been cleaned as it had feces in the toilet and a overflowing stool with unmade beds.
I went across the street to the Days Inn as they appeared descent on the outside. I checked into the room. Went to get the kids and we went upstairs to the room. My relative came up to visit and we sat on the bed and I started to immediately get bitten on the legs. He stated that the room felt like a sauna and I explained that we just walked in and the a/c was on, it wasn’t working. I kept getting bit and hit my arm and hit something (flea). I told my girls let’s go. I went downstairs to tell Conrad that we were leaving and why. He stated that he couldn’t give me a refund and it would have to be Management and to call them in the morning.
I called the next day and spoke with a woman with a heavy accent. I explained to her that I needed to speak to the manager and why. She said the manager didn’t work on the weekends and then said he was out of the country. I told her that I am requesting a refund as we left and did not stay in the room and I was going to report them. She proceeded to yell on the phone and said that “I didn’t want to rent the room to you in the first place”. And why is that, because I am an African American. Rather than you all refunding me my money you deducted it twice from my account. I have disputed the charges, have photos of the bites, and am reporting them to the local County Health Dept. Something has to be done when things such as this happen. The hotels need to be held to higher standards when receiving funds from patrons.
Evacuated for hurricane Irma was reason for trip. Lobby clean, receptionist ok. Non smoking room smelled smoky otherwise big spacious room. Bed and pillows comfortable.
This place is so outdated. That really doesn't bother me but it could be a lot cleaner and the breakfast is terrible. They put out a little bit of eggs, sausage and pancakes (burnt and cold and no refills, just put them out one time and that's it). Bananas were almost done for and had to beg for coffee because breakfast was over in 35 minutes the first time. The management is really nice and they helped out when both the hotel keys wouldn't work and a second set wouldn't work in the middle of the night. The front desk clerk came down and tried a third set then got a emergency key and got the problem fixed quickly, we had no problem after that. Also, they were nice when we accidentally booked a 2 twin beds instead of a king. The pool is decent but not cold because it is outdoor in South GA during the summer I guess. The room smelled okay but the hallway smelled strongly of smoke. The linens were clean but the chair and floor was badly stained.
Front desk woman was so rude. Could barely speak English. Our family got 3 rooms to attend a funeral. Men's public bathroom toilet was held together with duct tape. The women's bathroom was out of order. The pool was closed due to a "problem". It did reopen about 2 hours later (after we were told the pool man wouldn't be there until the next day??) The fitness room had several issues, broken equipment, the door was broken. Black mold in bathroom sink around the rim. We asked if we could pay for a late checkout since we didn't want the children to go to the funeral. We thought we would just let them swim as they were young. The front desk woman wouldn't hear of it. So we had to pay for the room another night (used for 5 hours). WiFi is horrible. Was never able to connect.
Only positive was breakfast was fine. I would stay in a tent before I go back there again. Customer service was the worse.
Rooms are out dated cover blanket is always stained. WiFi is terrible
Very clean rooms. I had a good night's sleep here.
Good service. Comfy beds.
Wow. Why haven't I stayed here before? Cost? Everything about this hotel was quaint and quiet with a smell of heavenly jasmine when I arrived. The Patel Family has got a good thing here in Jesup. They are trying hard evident in landscaping, pool/ hot tub and a breakfast that is very very good. The hot tub was hot and they let me soak my back from my long journey the next day too when it was closed. Thanks! Trip back to Miami was less aching. I give this place an EASY Five Star Rating. Good Job on a hotel worth returning to. Thomas Cruz-Wiggins, Miami, Florida CLEAN VERY CLEAN (even the rails of the doors)
This hotel is not too bad. If you arent smoker do not stay on the 3rd floor. I was put there because the guy working in the mornings didnt reserve my room. Other than that the rooms are always clean and the staff is friendly.
