Jan and Bill are great. A beautiful and modern house. Check out the river rocks shower floors.

Hospitable people, beautiful marsh views, visiting hummingbirds and painted buntings in the mornings. They have kayaks for your use, and we had the best adventure paddling around

This is a wonderful B&B located right on the marsh of coastal Georgia. The house is new, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and delicious breakfasts. The views are fantastic. But what makes the stay worthwhile are the owners. Jan and Bill are the most welcoming, friendliest and interesting hosts I've met. They made the stay unforgettable. And there is lots to do in the area - historic and cultural sites, birding (don't miss Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge), kayaking, and great seafood. Highly recommended!

The Blue Heron is newly renovated but still has the charm it used to. Breakfast is still delicious, the marsh is still peaceful, and the owners are as friendly as ever. This is a great place for a relaxing evening with a glass of wine, bird watching in the morning, or for resting before heading to Sapelo (it's walking distance from the ferry dock). Just this morning, I got to see the famed Painted Bunting giving himself a bath! Jan and Bill will tailor your breakfast to your diet and time schedule if need be. They'd love to have you!

This is my second visit. This hotel is a refreshing change from all the cookie cutter chains that have no character. Dog friendly with water front parks on both sides of hotel property. The views of the lake at sunset are stunning. This looks like the place to be in the summer with lakeside pool, boats, and tiki bar. I would like to try the house boat rooms next. You can hear people above you if your on ground floor. Morning breakfast was good. The staff was great.

The facility is new and in excellent condition. The breakfasts are delicious. They don't nickel and dime guests with amenities: complimentary bikes, kayaks, several tea varieties, wine, beer, etc. The owners are knowledgeable of the area and great conversationalists. Nice view of the marshes. Recommended highly.

The Blue Heron is located facing the Georgia coastal wetlands. It's a beautiful location. A bird lover's paradise! There are bikes and kayaks available for further exploration of the area. It's just down the road from the Visitor's Center, museum and ferry that heads over to Sapelo Island. Breakfast was fresh, beautiful and delicious. The Inn is clean and the hosts welcoming. We've had a lovely weekend getaway!
