I have been frequenting this restaurant going on 20 years and a have really never been disappointed except for maybe 3x. All of the vegetables are delicious as well as the broasted chicken and the barbecue sauce it's just the right amount of Tang I highly recommend calling ahead and placing an order for the carry out window and always remember to tip your servers even in the Drive-Thru! :-)

Used to be good, but any more. Would not know what Bar-B-Q is if it bite them in the ass. Their 'SLAB' of ribs would fit in one hand. Nothing was slow cooked or smoked. It was bake or perhaps deep fried the covered in an overly sweet, but otherwise tasteless sauce. They were more interested in closing the place than customers enjoying thier meal. A shame, as l said it used to be a great place.

I'll give this restaurant two stars because it's an inexpensive place to eat. As for the food, it breaks several of my rules for good BBQ.
    1) Meat is pre-sauced.
    2) BBQ sauce is WAY too sweet.
    3) Meat doesn't taste very smoky. I'm not sure if it's because they don't smoke it long enough or if it's because the sauce is covering up the flavor.

Good quick bite in Dayton. Not too many options around, but this is local and will fill you up. The loaded potato salad was my favorite part. Being from the Mid-south, it's hard to beat our BBQ.

Says Old Hickory. But there is NO hickory smoked food. All grilled or crock pot cooked. Apple sauce in a plastic container. Baked beans very plain. Pulled pork tasted like a sloppy joe. This is not true BBQ. But inexpensive. Owner nice. Kids that work for her dillegent but don't want to be there.

Was in there last Sunday. Employees were having a party instead of paying attention to customers. Ordered two piece dark, baked potato and salad. Got my salad. 20 minutes later was told no potatoes, got white instead of dark meat and was overcharged 2 dollars. Terrible experience.

Great food, great prices but the service is inconsistent. When the younger females are working they are busy socializing which makes your wait longer. I have been sitting here for 20 minutes watching them gossip and catch-up. But when I asked how much longer one girl said she is waiting on fresh fries as she walked over there and dropped the fries in the deep fryer. They are not even busy two people dining in and the phone rung twice.

This is not a typical barbecue restaurant. The food is all prepared fresh and it's delicious. Some of the best brisket I've ever had.
