Nice laid back sports bar. Unfortunately, this place is closing it's doors after New Year's.
Best fish & chips, anywhere, except for Anselmo's, in Dunoon, Scotland.
Here's a pic, but I didn't get my phone out quite soon enough. I took a taste, first, and then it was too late.
The atmosphere was good. Food was great! Service was not good.
11/18/2017 Frequented here many years ago, and it WAS all-around a great place! Recently, decided to go back for lunch this place has really turned into a DIVE! The food isn't bad, but not great either (though the orders are accurate and hot when they arrive). Can't complain about the service, either as the bartender was very attentive. Unfortunately, the atmosphere has really changed! It's now nothing more than a refuse for bar flies! It's tragic to see how it has declined!
Great staff , the staff are fast and prompt. Yummy food and strong drinks
Really fun to watch games here until drunken old men decide you're too loud and want to hilariously try to fight you. 10/10 will return
Great service and delicious food! Really enjoyed the trio playing on the patio, too.
Great Monday night wings, Karaoke on Sat. But very busy. Service sucks but food is good when you get your order, if it's correct.
The service was great all around. We had pretzels, wings, and the pita with various dips. Everything was pretty good. The drink specials were great, although the draft beer wasn't very cold. The restaurant itself could definitely use some updating as it's set up very awkwardly and appears very outdated. Could be a really cool spot with some investment but still a good experience due to the great server and pretty good food.
The food isn't bad, but the lunchtime service is ridiculously slow. There were 3 people in our group today. We ordered a double dog plate with fries, a chef salad, and a chicken caesar salad. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and there weren't a lot of people there for lunch. On top of that, both salads had the lettuce ends in the bowls.
This isn't a one-time thing either; we've gone there for lunch a handful of times, and each time has been a similar experience. We have kept going back hoping that it won't be the same. I don't think we'll be back any time soon.
I found McPherson's to be surprising. It is the typical dark bar with the usual regulars hanging out and drinking, but the food is amazing! Their signature 1/2 lb. burgers are fantastic, and too large to eat in one sitting (but they warm up pretty well), and the fries are always perfect. Other menu offerings are also good; try the salads and the Thursday night special: Prime Rib.
Been coming here for a few months now. Good local bar. Nice staff and even when busy not a long wait for drinks. Only had a couple items from the menu. Burgers are good and fries are great. Better than the chips even. Stays open late. Live music on the weekends and normally Thursdays.
