Fantastic food! We asked for suggestions and our server picked all his favourites for his. He even gave me a delicious wine pairing. As we'd finish one dish they'd clear and bring the next immediately which was great.
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. They knew who we were and brought her dessert.
We had a great time doing the firework cruise. Dinner was excellent. Very happy with the overall experience.
We shared the cruise with a large group of people having a wedding. Felt like a third wheel. Loud and obnoxious. Food was okay; large portions. Boat was large and nice. It was just an ok experience. Would not return.
The cruise was very enjoyable. The food was delicious. Our waitress, unfortunately wasn't the greatest(that's why I couldn't rate 5 stars). Not bothering with details since the rest of the staff was wonderful. Other staff stepped in (Jamal) and performed excellent service recovery! All in all a great experience. Highly recommended!
We came here for a dinner cruise paid for by one of our distribution companies we use. Our waitress was quick to introduce herself and take our orders from the selections on the menu. After that it was at least an hour before we got our salads and then we just 4 of them and the rest of our table had to wait another 10 minutes before theirs came out. The rolls were hard as rocks and tasted like there was too much baking soda in them. When we finally got our food it came out in batches. We got our waitresses attention to get some ranch for my son's chicken strips and by the time she came back with it his dinner was cold and he couldn't eat it. The food was better tasting then last year so that was an improvement. I don't know if it is the vendors fault for booking too many people for this room or the set up that the room had but EVERY time someone wanted to get up EVERYBODY had to get up to let them though. It was ridiculous. Everything seemed so disorganized. After dinner was served our waitress did have time to get us drinks and seemed genuine. The d.j.was good and kept the crowd happy on the dance floor. Watching the fireworks from the promenade was nice and not crowded at all. I would never pay the price that is advertised on their website but for free drinks and to watch drunk people dance I'll do it again next year.
I'd give this zero stars if I could. My wife and I were taking the dinner cruise to mark a special occasion. I made my reservation FIVE MONTHS IN ADVANCE, and paid a premium price, to make sure that we got window seating. SIX DAYS before the cruise, they called to tell me we could not have a window table. Who the hell did they give our seats to?! They offered no explanation as to what happened, just a coupon for some free drinks. We don't drink, so that wasn't any consolation. I was aware when I made the reservation that the food was mediocre and over priced. We only wanted to go on the cruise for the views. They've lost our patronage, and I'll tell anyone who will listen about my poor experience.
Absolutely not worth the money. I was looking forward to an amazing trip with my boyfriend and for how much it cost, I thought I'd be wooed. Instead, I couldn't stop myself from thinking that I couldn't believe I paid for that. I could have taken one of the 30 minute cruises and gotten more from it and saved a lot of money. There are many hidden fees beyond the ticket price. You have to pay to sit by a window, you have to pay all kinds of docking and maritime fees and service fees. There is a reason they want gratuity up front - because the have to know they won't get gratuity any other way. Someone mentioned that the food service was fast, that's because it was precooked obviously and I don't think they even tried to nuke it a little to make it at least warm. I was looking at the menu prior to the cruise and the website lists warm butter cake as an option for desert and it wasn't, which was kind of a disappointment. I wanted to keep my drink ticket tab for my memory book and the waiter was so rude and said no, he needed both parts. Why would it be perforated if it wasn't meant to be separated? The website is all about how you get to see Chicago like you've never seen it before, but really the only thing you see is Navy Pier (which is the place you leave from). This cruise literally takes two hours to take you in a big circle and see the same things from different distances. The only good thing about this cruise is the pictures you can take of you and your loved ones on the water. I don't recommend this cruise to anyone looking to get a bang for your buck - this just isn't the cruise for that.
Food was okay. Paid $60 and our picture was blurry. There was a drink that looked like sprite but was horrible. You can take your own picture on top. Pretty there, but would not pay for a picture taken by them because as said it was foggy and blurry. Wish they had more vegetarian and vegan options. My friend could not eat. The boat is not as big as it looks.
This is a beautiful vessel! However, upon my last trip aboard the Odyssey one of my waitresses was very rude. My mother had just purchased libations for our table & we headed to the dance floor When we came back, the waitress had taken our libations & trashed them without even asking! The drinks are VERY pricey for the watered down amount poured. Besides that, it was a memorable experience for all!..
Rolls were hard as a rock dinner was ok not great tasting just ok and the Dj needed to play more modern hits.
The boat is so pretty. the view of chicago is amazing. It was a perfect setting for our anniversary, the food and service was so fast. So happy we booked this boat.
The boat is very nice on the inside. The service is also very good. You can see some awesome views of the city.
