Slight bit of wait but that's alright. Restaurant is split into two sections, one formal dining and the other the bar. Stopped at the bar side and ordered wine. Has a decent wine selection and the price is ok. Portion for the ahi tuna was a little too small. Burger was fine but by then was too full to finish the whole plate.

Went in on a Saturday and had an amazing burger. One of the best burgers and fries I have ever had. I sat inside vs the patio covered area on a busy day (inside was empty which I enjoyed). You must go here if you are in the area. Get the Angus burger and garlic fries in truffle oil with parmesan cheese. It was around $18.

One of the best places to eat in DC. The history is really amazing when you see all the famous and powerful people who've dined here. It's worth taking a trip here to eat at least once.

Had a chance to visit during restaurant week. The food and the service are both great. The setting makes this place a great date spot, located by the monument and the white house.

Wow! What a great place to eat or even have a drink. I had an amazing server.. When you're there ask for Antonio! He knows the menu and knows what is great on the food and wine menu. I would definitely return!

Proper table service, not the usual North American standard (in & out as quick as possible).
    Great food, omelette cooked perfectly.
A great place to relax and enjoy the day.
Slightly more expensive than the standard North American restaurant but worth it.

Went and ate lunch with my family. We waited an hour and a half for our food which was not what we ordered but we were really hungry so we ate it. When we get our bill our total is 206.56. We have two adults and two kids. We asked if it was the wrong bill and he said no. He told us that he could make a kids steak and charged us 50 dollars per kid. We then talked to the manager which was probably worse than a manager at McDonald's. He gave us 15 percent off and he wouldn't budge. Don't eat here and don't get taken advantage of.

Stopped in for some most wonderful hot toddies. They warmed our souls and removed the day's chill. A well appointed classic bar that unfortunately has worn / torn bar chairs. Otherwise 5 stars.

Was there some time late 2016. Food is absolutely delish! Cant wait to go back! Even better was our server Justin ( woody harrelson ) lol He was one of the best waiters I've ever had! My husband and I were there with our children who had chocolate milk with their meal. Well of course, one of the kids spilled chocolate milk all over his sweater. Justin jumped right in took the sweater from my son and went away with it He came back with it completely clean. He put in up against the heat lamp to dry and constantly came back to check if it was drying correctly. We were able to finish our DC tour nice and clean! Definitely needs a promotion! Because of him I will always recommend this restaurant to anyone going to visit Washington DC! Thank you Justin, my 7 year old son is reading this as I'm writing this and says oh yeah I remember Justin! So thanks again!

Great service but way overpriced. Best crab cakes ever tasted. Grilled tuna just OK. Staff was amazing.

This place was great! First time eating at a more upscale restaurant $$$. We didn't need a reservation that evening,
Everything was fresh and fast! They had an intro crouton and delicious on-the-house cornbread. They also surprised us with a great anniversary desert with drinks & card signed from staff!
Their walls are filled with the famous from all over. They also had the option to sit outside.

Really made our day special, thanks Occidental!
