Came in after a party of 15. 12 young athletic men, well behaved. We didn't have to want any longer than normal. Excellent service. Never a bad meal. Always recommend Oakwood to my friends from Ft. O and Rossville.

My wife and her grandmother visit here often for lunch and they love it. I went for the first time this weekend and had a pleasant time. The food was good, the portion was adequate for the price, the atmosphere was comfortable. But it was very crowded. This place gets busy. If you go make sure you beat the lunch crowd or you might have to wait a while for a table.

Excellent local restaurant! Always packed for lunch, but that's just a testament to the quality of their food and service. They have the best meat and vegetables plate in down town Dalton.

The worst. The Turkey with Stuffing is merely a brownish gravy with a few shreds of tasteless remnants of turkey served over a mound something that should never be called "stuffing". The Sweet Potato Souffle was a reddish glob of mush with only the faintest essence of the tuber. Tomato, cucumber and onion salad consisted of thin sliced onion and cucumber accompanied by two pieces of tomato skins in a bath of vinegar. Creamed corn, which the waitress assured me was made in-house, reminded one of library paste but
with lumps and less seasoning. The cornbread was a golfball sized glob of tastelessness that should be illegal to call cornbread anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Service, however, was fast and friendly which qualified this establishment for the one-star rating.

It was pretty good. I don't care for sweet corn bread, but if you do, it was worth it. Pot roast was pretty tasty. Green beans were pretty good. Mac n cheese was pretty good, just tasted like American cheese. Broccoli casserole, was so so, because it seemed to lack flavor. Sweet tea was good. My husband said his chicken casserole was okay, but it was too runny, and he wouldn't get it if he went back. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Clean over all. Good family place.

This place is well worth the short drive off I75. We were traveling and looking for something besides a chain restaurant. We found the Oakwood Cafe and what a find it was. The food was amazing.

What a comfortable place to go. We were just driving around and spotted their sign. Everything is homemade and delicious. Plus, the service is second to none. It needs a ten star.

Wonderful "country cooking". We had a veggie plate and country fried steak. The sides were all pretty good but the pintos were exceptional. And the mac-n-cheese was pasty. Place was very busy but the service was just ok. Over all, a good experience. We'd recommend this place. And we'll stop again should we pass through again.
