We did family pictures there today, our 6 month old grandson did great even though it was brisk, he was a happy baby

A huge park full of old old oak trees. This park has multiple areas including a playground, a toddler playground, a ADA playground full of music making toys, a large stage that shows frequent plays and music in the summer, tennis courts and private tables/grills for picnics by the river. The park hosts the Smokey hill river festival in the summer as well as several children’s days and holidays cookouts. This is an excellent park with wide sidewalks and lovely flower gardens.
(Note: because of the danger of flooding and summer drought, the river doesn’t always have water. And even when it does, this is Kansas. Don’t swim in the rivers. ;)response / report this review -

Great park to take the family or just for relax! It's huge! Plenty of play grounds! Stage. Beautiful flowers during the summer. Great place for pictures! Wish they would get the ice skating rink going again!

Nice park with lots of options. Nice stage for live concerts. Smoky Hill River Festival is here in June. Playground areas, tennis courts, nice little area with beautiful flowers and an arbor that's pretty for outdoor weddings. Lots of options.

You like to watch your kids run around in grass, right? Do you like it when they swing on the swings? Is it awesome when you get to see them toot on tooters and thump on thumpers? Cool! Then you'll be quite pleased here. If you want to see the brats teeter or totter, you are boned. The have no such devices. Also, dog poop. Why aren't there poop bags? So much dog poop.

My favorite Salina Park. We grew up visiting this park. It used to have two beautiful white suspension bridges, they have been replaced by much safer steel bridges. The park has memorials at the North entrance and the statue of liberty at the West entrance. The flower walk and all the mature oak trees really make this one a standout. It is always very well maintained and has the City Park Department Offices and maintenance shop in the Northeast corner. A great place to visit!

This is a beautiful park. The Smoky Hill River Festival is held here every summer and it's so much fun. It's music, art, and food.
