I went to the Oak Tree Gun Club during a brief trip to California with my girlfriend. All of the staff members were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun on their pistol range, and greatly benefited from the experienced lane instructors. We had originally planned to stay for an hour, but stayed for three hours because their onsite restaurant menu was really good for a gun club. All in all, we had a blast, pun intended.
The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Possibly the best range I’ve been to due to the safety measures, the range masters who work there, and the lack of douchiness that you find at most ranges. My family and I will be back often.
Oak Tree Gun Club is a one of a kind place. They have great and kind staff, great ranges from pistol to rifle to shotgun and archery. Their trap range is excellent and I highly recommend going there. The staff are experts and can always help you. Great and affordable prices and a great environment for which you can shoot guns and have fun while staying safe.
First experience went in for a restring on my compound bow. Pro shop staff Gotye I believe was his name super helpful and informative. Saved me some money and helped me sort out some of the trouble areas I was having with my bow. Made a return customer out of me and made me feel comfortable that they are there to help me how they best can not that they are out for money. Will be returning when I actually need my restring. Overall opinion great shop and staff don't hesitate to wander in and ask questions. As far as stock it was loaded with beautiful bows and all the trimmings.
I can only speak for the Archery Range - the shop is stocked nicely and the range is well kept.
All the Pro Shop guys there are knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional.
I’ve had my bow serviced there with no issues and outstanding work.
Hoping for a sale one day on the membership, as I don’t use any of the other ranges.
Awesome range! Staffs super helpful and it’s just all around a good atmosphere. There’s something for every shooter here.
amazing gun range. so much fun at this location. I enjoyed myself very much
First time there today. Loved this place! I'm a new shooter I do decent but ehh.
A range officer quickly stopped by (after I shot two mags) and asked if I'd mind some tips and help. Said i was pulling the trigfer too hard. Had me practice my trigger pull differently than anyone has told me yet so slow that I didn't know when it was going to fire. Eureka moment! Flawless shot, even though it startled me and made me flinch. Then told me he wants me to keep practicing this dry firing and when at the range.
Wish I didn't live 130 miles away. All of the staff I spoke with were extremely friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed my time there.
This was my first time here and I give it two thumbs up. I got there when they opened on a Friday and it was pretty empty. I shot about 100 rounds in the paper bays then moved to the steel gallery. And that is the reason for my 5 star review. Plenty of fun targets to shoot at and I was able to move all around because it was pretty empty. I will be coming here more often. Especially during the week when it's empty
Love going to the shooting range to pop off a few rounds. This place is just great they have indoor and outdoor ranges. They also have an area to shoot high powered rifles and shotguns!! I make it a priority to visit the range at least 2 times a year
Great prices. Very knowledgeable, & friendly staff. Affordable prices. If you rent guns don't bother bringing your own ammo.liability reasons.
First time here and would definitely come back!
Had gotten a Groupon for the husband because he's into this. When I came, I wasn't expecting it to be as fun as it was. But it was probably all that more fun because Kenny (was there for our trap shoot) was awesome. He was clear with safety and in his communication, and was very friendly and professional. It's all in the customer service! Even the man at the window signing us in was friendly, professional, and welcoming.
Oak Tree and its supervisors and employees are the "BEST OF THE BEST" in every aspect of customer-service. I've thoroughly enjoyed shooting on Oak Tree's clean, safe, fun, and spacious shotgun, pistol, and rifle ranges. I particularly enjoy Oak Tree's huge and varied shotgun ranges and the exceptional supervisors and employees. Shotgun Supervisor MIKE BALL, assistant supervisor RYAN, and Range Safety Officers CHAD, DANNY, MIKE, MARCY, KYLE, ADAM, MATT, GUNAR, and GAUTIER all perform at the highest level of courtesy, professionalism, technical expertise and customer-friendly service. Each of these alert and engaging individuals makes you feel that you are a member of their Oak Tree family. They are all simply the BEST in the industry, and their individual and team-efforts have made each of my many visits to Oak Tree an absolute pleasure. I use Oak Tree's Shotgun Ranges VERY frequently, and on all my visits, I've observed Shotgun Range Supervisor MIKE BALL constantly in productive and meaningful motion, and always effectively supervising his staff while also personally performing many important tasks. MIKE BALL's outstanding supervision and training of his staff, and his extraordinary and consistent personal efforts ensure that each Oak Tree customer has the best possible experience. MIKE leads his staff based on his wise and alert supervision, as well as his own shining example. Similarly, Assistant Supervisor RYAN and each of the Shotgun Range Safety Officers that I've identified above are clearly motivated by their own individual commitments to excellence, because they each constantly ensure the safety of each customer while also providing unmatched customer-friendly service. I've spent 30 years using and "evaluating" every outdoor range located within Los Angeles and Orange Counties. I can comfortably say that Oak Tree is by far the best of all the outdoor ranges - - Oak Tree's vast acres of beautiful land, coupled with its very safe, fun, and varied outdoor shooting venues and its EXCEPTIONAL SUPERVISORS and AMAZING CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY RANGE SAFETY OFFICERS establish Oak Tree as the premier outdoor shooting venue for Los Angeles and Orange County.
Great place for beginners. They have a lot of variety of firearms. Interesting to shoot at a rhino heads at least thats what they told me. Very exciting and fun. Outdoor atmosphere and they have bbq because you work up an appetite. Will return and will recommend. Had a great time.
The only range in Los Angeles that I will go to. They are consistent in what they do - provide high quality guns/ammunition to shoot targets at an affordable price. They have a big variety of handguns, rifles, and everything in between. It's a nice outdoor setting in the mountains, making it a very peaceful place (if that's possible at a gun range). The LAPD trains here, so that says a lot about the quality of this place.
We reserved the trap and skeet field early during the day. Easy to reserve for three people and staff are helpful and friendly. Had lunch and couple beers in their cafeteria, very convenient. Then we went to the pistol range, staff at this range were also helpful. They went an extra step to instruct us on proper techniques. The price was also fair, the total for three people for both shotgun, pistol and ammo was a little under $200. Way cheaper than at Prado Olympic shooting range by Chino.
This place is good for beginners and experienced shooters. Pistol range has "hard" targets for small caliber and a paper target range for the more powerful handguns and larger rifles. An outdoor skeet range with several lanes offers trap shooting when the weather is dry.
They sell everything you might need including ammo and targets. A full shop where you can try and buy.
It's a bit out of the way if you live in the South Bay, but worth the drive!
Great place. They let you shoot whatever ammo you've got for a 9mm or 22 and they let you rent alone if you want. Bringing minors not a problem. Really cool rhino head. Bears. Skeet shooting. Outdoor fun in the shade. After calling around this is the only place I go.
