This mall has a little bit of everything and it's not too big of a place to make your way through swiftly. The food court could use different options.
It was honestly quite empty and had nothing I needed for Christmas shopping this year and it was very hot inside other than that it was completely one hundred percent fine according to me
Northgate mall is nothing special, but does satisfy your mall needs. The Macy's is always well stocked and has great employees. Plenty of other classic mall shops like Hot Topic, Foot Locker, American Eagle and Gamestop. Some great value shops like Home Goods and Marshall's to bookend the mall. Has a decent food court. Parking is easy and there is a really nice movie theater.
There are several good anchor stores like Macy's and the Burlington Coat Factory and a very nice movie theater. There are also a few good stores in the mall itself but it is common to see only a handful full of people (mostly teenagers and mall walkers). Where are all the shoppers? The food court is really outdated. The Kenwood Town Center is a much nicer place and it has the Cheesecake Factory!
Good location. Plenty of parking. Mall has direct access to major stores so you don't necessarily have to go through the entire mall. Has a good court.
Many of the stores have shut down. The food court only has half the restaurant spaces rented to tenants. There's a small play area for children but it gets easily congested if there are more than five children running around.
Needs more stored in a great neighborhood has so much potential perfect for someone who doesn't like big crowd's quietest mall you will find lol but has one of the best movie theaters i been to
It's getting better. For a while there was a lot of empty stores but they are trying to fill them up. Clean and safe.
Great shopping experience. There is Burlington for rightly priced clothes and then there is Designer Shoe Warehouse for very good shoes at affordable price. There is always a sales section where good shoes are sold at throw away prices. Satisfying experience at Northgate mall.
You know how a lot of malls are starting to die? This mall is not dying, but its found some sort of compromise to avoid it. Every mall has a hot topic and two or so department stores and a claires and whatever else, but the rest of the stores in this mall are very trashy. Wigs and suspicious massages and jewelry or stores that sell only baseball jerseys. I spent most of my time in only a little handful of stores, the rest i had zero interest in. But almost every storefront was occupied. Maybe they found their niche.
Northgate has really gone down hill fast. Most of the stores are vacant, it's like shopping a ghost town. Really sad, there were some great stores in that mall back in the day.
Very quiet and remote, need more stores. Restaurants. Lov Macy's & miss Dillard's. All in all I still love to come there.
Northgate mall unlike most older malls seems to be making a comeback. Sounding area is thriving also. Nice clean shopping and lots of eating places. Safe and well lit. Theater added & mall expanding. In 2016.
Northgate is a particularly good mall. The retail outlets all have a great variety, and if you're interested in shopping for clothes or just have a day browsing, this place works. However, the best part of the mall is undeniably the movie theater. With cushioned leather reclining seats, massive displays, and a wide variety of films playing, this theater is always my first choice (despite living rather far away) for new movies.
There are a lot of pros and cons with Northgate Mall. Lets just get the cons out of the way. There are too many stores more suited for flea markets. The mall accepts anyone just to keep the spaces filled. The problem is the stores brings in lower income customers and drives down rent costs, thus bringing in less revenue to the mall. Sometimes no revenue is better than cheap revenue, because the costs to run a facility in use stays high. The mall really needs to increase rent and drive out the cheap shops. Okay, pros now. Police are security at the mall, so if there is trouble, be aware these are not unarmed mall cops. The malls is complete totes on holiday events. They have a great looking Santa and Easter Bunny, and even a train for kids to ride for $3. The mall thankfully does have some better-end stores to keep up revenue. The mall is safe, despite problems in the past, and has a curfew for teens. So, no, parents you cannot just drop off a crew of kids and let the mall do your babysitting. I like this mall, however it needs a lot of hard improvements.
