Outside museum is nice and clean. The art pieces are interesting. The inside of the museum is really nice! You're not allowed to have drinks or backpacks. There's more security than at a court house!

Went there after hours for a wedding. It's a very classy venue with amazing wedding planners!! Definitely consider this if you are getting married soon! The guests also get to access parts of the exhibitions for free after the ceremony :)

The NCMA has an amazing park with plenty of open space, walking trails, and beautiful art along the way. Inside, it is full of incredible works, both historic and new. The special exhibits are always a fresh and exciting, and well put together. I love coming here. It's my happy place :)

Great way to spend a day! They have two main buildings. One building that has permanent collections (mostly older art) that is free! The other building has really interesting new art (and is constantly switching things out) that you have to pay for. There are always fun interactive exhibits for children. There is something for everyone here!

Beautiful museum and amazing park outside. The entire place has so many free things to do that you could spend days seeing everything. It's one of my most favorite places to visit to walk around and explore. It's wonderful.

Haven't been to the museum itself, but the park area is gorgeous. I've taken my pup on a couple of walks here, it is always super well kept and maintained. The art pieces are scattered all over the area, with all different kinds of styles. I fully intend on visiting the inside portion soon!

I've been here 4 times now. This museum is near many doctors offices, which is convenient for those of us traveling to appointments. There are free exhibits in one building and a building with exhibits you pay to see. We've only seen the free exhibits, as we don't have much time to walk through the exhibits each time we go.
They have an outstanding collection here, with many pieces from the 1300s and before. They have pieces from Italian, Dutch, Flemish, and a few other collections. Their contemporary collections are outstanding as well. They have many new pieces.
    Love this place!!

Stunning permanent collection that covers nearly every aspect of art history. The ticketed exhibits are usually crowded but beautifully put together. I've never tried the cafes but they look tempting. My favorite place is the huge outdoor sculpture park that rambles across the meadows and into the woods. There is so much to enjoy for free. This is an outstanding public museum and grounds.

The family-friendly tour is fun and educational. Tim has been great and nice and told me and my son a lot about the museum, the building and the sculptures. Learned a lot. I really appreciated. Highly recommend to you all! Easy to park and great park also.

This is a clean, beautiful complex full of great works of art. They have a permanent gallery and a gallery that is changed often to keep things interesting. I loved every piece in the museum and I highly recommend anyone whether you are interested in art or not to go.

This quickly became one of my favorite destinations in Raleigh. Everytime I go back I am fascinated by the art inside and out. I've returned many times and there is still so much more to see. Now with the outdoor park, the large scale installations, and the many events their offerings are varied to appeal to a wide range of people in any age range.

I was practically born and raised in the Huntington Art Gallery where I grew up so a visit to this museum is a real treat. They have several large collections from modern art back to ancient Greek and Egyptian pieces and even the architecture of the two buildings is a sight to behold. Free admission is a real benefit and I'm glad to see my taxes support something I can really enjoy. I look forward to a return visit to their amphitheater to enjoy some live performances.
