This is a wonderful practice with fabulous doctors! They always see us quickly and the nurses are very responsive to phone questions. I couldn’t be happier with my son’s care.

In short, this practice is EXTREMELY messy and unprofessional.
I called the office to get a work in visit for my son with Dr. Pip. This doctor only spent about five minutes looking over him before prescribing a steroid cream for his eczema. He never took the time to evaluate what was the underlying cause for eczema in the first place, and he also went out of his way to tell me breastfeeding “isn’t as great as everyone says”.
Two weeks later, I brought my three month old son back into the office for the same issue because the steroid cream Dr. Pip had prescribed was not working. I had asked the nurse if we could please see a different doctor due to the rude nature of Dr. Pip.
That afternoon, I received a phone call from Dr. Pip himself. He was extremely disrespectful ranting about how I had no reason to dislike him. He even had the audacity to accuse me of using profanity when describing him to the nurse and threatening to have my husband “jump him”. I have never in my life made such threats nor would I ever make those threats or use such language in front of my son. Being in the medical field myself, I was appalled to witness a doctor acting in this manner.
At my son’s four month well visit, I explained to our doctor, Dr. Harrell, our recent experiences, and she laughed. I do not know how she found it funny at all. I was also sent home with a packet stating it was time for my son to start cereal in addition to breastmilk. Dr. Harrell did not mention to this while we were in the exam room, so I had to call the nurse line with all of my questions that I would have preferred to ask the pediatrician in person.
Needless to say, I have found a different practice for my son to see. My personal preference was to find a practice who is pro-breastfeeding and spends more than five minutes with my son, but most importantly, I wanted to find a doctor who would take the time to evaluate the issue causing my son pain and discomfort before quickly prescribing a steroid to a three month old.response / report this review -

I can't imagine taking our kids anywhere else. All the doctors have been really awesome for all three of our kids.

I took my son here as a newborn and Dr. Pip totally undermined my confidence as a first time mother at Breastfeeding. I had to repeatedly bring my son in for weight checks and was told he wasn't getting enough though I counted his diapers and knew what was coming out. He only looked at charts and not at my baby who was thriving even if he was only fifth percentile. They also prescribed my son Zantac without even doing a check to see if he really had reflux or not. I have heard from a neighbor of similar attempts by the practice to give her child formula though she was in early weeks of breastfeeding. Formula has a time and a place but not the early weeks when a mom is adjusting to breast feeding and it is really difficult. If you are looking to breast feed successfully, choose Dunwoody pediatrics. When I switched, Dr Sherwinter was so supportive of my efforts and said my son was thriving and would gain weight eventually as he has Indian genes. Sure enough my now 2 year old is 30+ pounds so gain weight he did. Do your research and do not trust doctors blindly - trust your instincts!

We have been going to North Atlanta Pediatrics since our son was born. Our favorite doctors are Pip, West, and Weiss. They've been awesome with us and our son. Prior to yesterday (08/19), we've never had an unpleasant experience. On August 19, our son developed hives and swelling on his lower extremities. We didn't know what was going on and, of course, we were extremely concerned. The only pediatrician available for us to see was Dr. Fuller. We went in for our appointment and the situation went from "ok" to horrible. Our concerns were heightened because of Dr. Fuller's lack of bedside manners, inability to express genuine empathy, and increased defensiveness when we asked for another professional opinion about our son's condition. Needless to say, we left North Atlanta Pediatrics with limited knowledge about how to prevent the issue or what it could be. Dr. Fuller's response to our concerns was "You guys don't have to see me ever again or schedule another appointment with me". In that moment, there was a lack of concern for our son's health and more concern about her practices as a pediatrician ("I spend the most time with my patients out of any of the other doctors"). She did not invite us into the conversation about our son's health. It was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had. And … we're STILL concerned about our son as his swelling has not yet gone down.

Dr. Spandorfer (known as Dr. Pip by his patients) is so wonderful. My daughter had a somewhat rough start in life, with kidney and digestive issues both resulting in surgery. We needed a physician who was understanding and could manage communications with her specialists. I could not be happier that we found Dr. Pip. He is full of knowledge, both research-based and down-to-earth. He makes himself accessible. He cares about children and their families. I would not entrust my children's health to anyone else.
