Fine boat tour on Rum Runner II.
A nice pier with several shops, bars, and restaurants in the heart of Newport. The Block Island Ferry leaves from nearby and several harbor cruises leave from here as well. Definitely checkout the deck chairs at the end of the pier by the Coffee Grinder in the morning for a relaxing way to start the day. Grab some lunch on the water, dinner at one of the great restaurants, and drinks on one of the patios, some of which even have live music. Great place to explore when in Newport.
If a transient boater- be carefull. Even is you give them 24 hours notice of not being able to hold the reservation they will charge you.
The Inn rooms are rustic at best. Bathroom floor was visibly dirty, beds were old and sagging, coffee maker did not work, lamp would not work when coffee maker turned on. Parking is limited and precarious, as you have to drive down a single lane filled with people. It was like herding cows. Location, however, was fun, unique, and the water views were great. Decor in the room was cute. Overall, not worth the nearly $300 we paid.
