I'm a native Floridian over the years I have eaten a lot of produce and been to many groves. My wifes family always vacationed on the west coast so she wanted to share Nokomis groves with me. I loved the nostalgic atmosphere and the memories that it conjured up. With that being said we bought two and a half bushels of oranges and grapefruit for our family and friends and it was terrible! None of it had the same flavor as the samples that were offered, very dry and flavorless. We were so disappointed. The ice cream, however is awesome but the ladies at the service counter are less than friendly. Not a good example of what native Floridians are like.

Great Ice Cream. They even have a dairy free option for my dairy allergic family member in pineapple. The fresh squeezed OJ for $.05 was delicious too. The vegetables sold here aren't grown locally just the oranges and lemons.

Delicious soft serve ice cream. The store has a great variety of produce and preserves. We order honey bells and grapefruit each year and have them shipped to Wisconsin.

A requirement! Always great ice cream and fruit. Lines for ice cream can get long, but worth the wait. Try the orange and vanilla, Delicious!

The ice cream is incredible! Perfect flavor combo (I chose pineapple orange but there’s also vanilla, chocolate, and lime and you can swirl any of the flavors together) that’s not too sweet but not too tart. The ice cream barely melted as I ate it on my way back home to Sarasota. I had my dog in the car and didn’t know their policy so I just ran in real quick. My only complaint is that the cashier shook the tip jar at me TWICE in an interaction that lasted less than 30 seconds. A small cup/cone is $4.25, definitely not cheap. She wasn’t very friendly and didn’t smile at me until I dropped some money in the tip jar. I found that to be incredibly rude and I’ve noticed quite a few other reviews that mentioned the same observation. Anyway, the ice cream is absolutely delicious and amazing! Just wish the lady was friendly to begin with and not just after I paid almost $5 for a small dish of ice cream.

Took my mother inlaw here for the ice cream today and the older woman with dark brown hair couldn't return a smile as we approached the order window so I knew she was going to be unpleasant and boy was I right! She was so cold and short with us and even had the nerve to cop an attitude with us as we were taking our time to read the menu. We were the ONLY people there. Looks like we aren't the only customers who had to tolerate the nasty unnecessary attitude here Just read the other google reviews! Will never go back.

My little sister and I wanted to get ice cream here. I haven't been in years since my grandpa took me and she has never been. I told her how good it was and finally found time to take her. We got there and everything seemed fine but I did not realize it was cash or check only. There was no sign and the young boy at the counter said nothing until I handed him my debit card. He then looked at me like "how are you gonna pay me now" since he had already poured the ice cream. I apologized and told him I had no idea. I hadn't been in years. He put the cups on the counter in the sun and said "there's a BB&T a quarter mile up the road. I could get money and come back to pick up my ice cream then." It was already starting to melt as it was 98 degrees. Mind you, my 9 ur old sister is witnessing this and I am now embarrassed and angry but I'm trying to show her how to properly behave. So we left and went to Bob's Twist n Shake 4 mins up the road. They were polite and took debit cards. Had the counter person been a bit more polite I would have returned.

Delicious ice cream. You might have a wait; the locals know this place and come in droves. Note that you'll have to sit outside, so eat your code quick, before it melts!

Great ice cream, but very unfriendly and I will go as far to say the 3 women working the ice cream counter are rude. I was here a year ago and again today got the same customer service experience.

Came here looking to purchase fresh produce. Both the oranges and grapefruit looked terriable. However I beleive it was due to the time of year of my visit (march). That being said, I can understand the poor quality of the fruit for that time of year but I still thought the price of the fruit was to much. I did not have any of the ice cream as I am not into soft serve but the line of people on the benches eating it sure seemed to enjoy it. I did purchase two flavors of jelly, which are ok, but seem more of the sweet side and less on the flavor side.
