I had the premium tasting of 7 courses. It was good; but overpriced for the experience. Feedback for improvement: 15-20mins between courses is long. And the lamb chops are medium rare one side but burned the other side; by 'burned' I mean turned to coal!

Excellent but expensive. A nice little jewel in Phoenix. Very unique and creative dishes that you won't find anywhere else. All plates are sharing plates, and come out one or two at a time. Fun and the food is beautifully presented.

Horrendous portion sizes for the price you pay, if you want to feel completely gouged for a plate full of snacks it's just where you need to go.

The food was unique and exceptional - bite-sized culinary excursions, where each dish offers something new and different. Our server was very helpful in selecting menu items and helping us navigate the drink menu. It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth the quality of sensory experience that you'll receive here.

Went during restaurant week. Really great selection of small bites as part of a prix fixe. I like that the restaurant retains the room divisions from the original house guaranteeing an intimate, almost private, experience for diners.

My wife and I tried both trading menus with the wine flights. The food was on point and the wine paired perfectly. The separate rooms allow for a really intimate setting, but can get a little loud if you wind up sitting next to a group. Couldn't ask for nicer staff.
Overall this is a great place to experience some of the best non-typical Japanese style food that you will find anywhere in Arizona.response / report this review
