Great spot to watch a game. Tons of IU fans on game day. Food was good.
Came through Bloomington to watch some Hoosier basketball and stop here with the family. Service is immaculate, even for a college bar type place. Food is all great. We had the Sink Fries and several different kinds of sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed their food and experience. Will stop here every time I am in town.
Friday night before Thanksgiving week. Many students have already gone home. Visiting for football game on Saturday. Bar half empty, would not let us in because we were wearing opposing team’s apparel. Said was too crowded. Hung around to watch them let others in. Total BS. Booths and small bar. Not worth your time when have Kilroy’s and Brother’s nearby.
Overrated. Obviously rating inflated by locals.
Good service and atmosphere. The stromboli sandwiches we had were excellent. Great place to go.
A great hole in the wall college town bar. Friendly staff and decent beer selection.
Great history and memories here at Nick's! It's an IU staple. If you went to IU, you have to go to Nick's.
Lots of space, cheap beer, college bar but older patrons are welcome. Play sink the biz while you're there.
Pizza used to be way better. Waitress was not that good IMO. I still give Nick's 4 stars though bc it's such an historic place and has lots of memories for me. Has a good bar staff too!
Good selection of beer and other drinks. Biz fries are the best fries I've ever had. Other food is average. Great sports bar atmosphere. The bar upstairs will be inundated with college kids depending on the time you go, but tends to draw more alumni than other places. The restaurant downstairs is nice for families. A cool place to check out. Also - play sink the biz at least once.
Loved it. Good food, great staff, cool place to hang in. Larger than it appears. I can see why the college kids and IU staff hang there, and direct visitors there. Highly recommend it.
Aways good to get out to Nick's. Tasty food an usually good beer. Never disappoints.
The food is really good when there isn't a game. Unless you are an infant. If you are feeding your child don't be surprised if the owner yells at you because a middle aged male customer is scandalized.
Legendary mainstay on Kirkwood with a well deserved cult-like following. Food is limited to bar standards like large stromboli and simple pizzas, but everything is executed perfectly. Great selection of drinks are served strong and flow freely. The interior is dripping with local history. Dining rooms are cramped but cozy. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Portions are large and prices decent.
This is a real good place to eat and drink. What with all the remodeling they've done over the years, it's really big! It's not, however, all that good of a place bring your kids. After all, it's a college bar. But, the food is great and reasonably priced. and it's a world famous, Bloomington tradition! You should know that it's fairly noisy and crowded.
A great place to stop by and grab a burger or whatever other bar food you are craving. Fairly cheap prices and the environment is great. This is a big college bar and will be busy come Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
