Sunday brunch is a wonderful experience starting with excellent Mimosas and Bloody Mary's through a very satisfying cup of coffee. Selections are varied; from eggs - seafood - beef - jumbalya and stroganoff with salads, fruit waffles, and deserts. Price is reasonable for the quality and ambiance.
As always, service was superb, starting with the phone reservation, continuing at the door and with the support staff. Our waiter, Aaron, was personable with attention to detail.response / report this review -

One of my favorite restaurants in town. It's a very romantic space and the staff makes you feel welcome and special. The food is absolutely fantastic. The selections taste incredible. The drink options are also very good. The view from the restaurant is excellent as it looks out onto a fountain and a small lake.

We went to Newport for happy hour and sat at a hight top at the bar. We wanted to get drinks and small plates for dinner and enjoy our Friday evening. The last time we did this the service wasn't good but we wanted to give them another chance. Once again there were many servers but no service. The bar tender was busy making drinks for other diners so never came to our table. The manager walked past us and waved, but again no service. You'd think with the big poster about "Happy Hour" at the front, they would want to serve people coming for happy hour. NOPE. Don't sit at the bar and expect ANY service. Not even water. BTW George's was EXCELLENT! Great service and food.

Always the fresh always clean always delicious. You will not be disappointed. The freshest of fished and beef masterfully prepared by a staff of customer service geniuses. Exactly what you'd expect at this level of dining.

We had reservations and had a very good time.
The food we ordered was perfect. We sat on the patio overlooking the lake. A duo played all of our favorite songs. It is a very nice restaurant. Service was great.response / report this review -

We had a great server, Chimie who was knowlegable, descriptive and so positive about the restaurant. Our food was prepared beautifully and tasted outstanding! Joe, the manager came to our table to introduce himself and to make sure all was well. A delightful and fun experience for our first evening in Wichita!

Excellent job on seafood considering Kansas is landlocked. I have been a number of times and everyone from entrance host/hostess to waiter/waitress is very friendly warm and welcoming. Portions are not the biggest but for a fancier place I expected this going in.

We were visiting Wichita and ate at Chester's for our first time. Wow! We started with the Beef Carpaccio and Mussels, so good. Then we had the 8oz Filet with 3 wonderful side sauces, and creamy Garlic Spinach.. Of course we ended the meal with a Tumbleweed. Christian R.

*VERY weak cocktails.consistently.
*No one there seems to know how to open an oyster without shredding and mangling it to pieces.
*Extremely poor service all around, but especially for Sunday brunch. I was even completely ignored for the entire 30 minutes that I was there once: had to get my own water and coffee after waiting for twenty minutes without any wait staff approaching, which was then promptly removed from my table when I got up to go through the buffet line!
*Brunch items consistently dried out, over cooked and unrefreshed, not to mention low quality and sparse (especially for the price!) to start with.
Would NOT recommend this restaurant for dinner, happy hour or brunch
For the same price, the quality of the brunch at Yia Yias is considerably higher quality, with better and higher quality selections as well as much much better service.response / report this review -

“Great seafood in the midwest”
