Beautiful campus. And amazing people.
My family lives here
We lived here while my parents were training to be Missionaries in the 1960's - I went to Camdenton High School when I learned to drive. I loved the area because I was a tomboy so the lake, fishing, waterskiing, hiking and even just spending the day hiking to Big Rock was great. I caught Alligator Gar and Whitefish and dug clams along the shore. They have HUGE bullfrogs by the Farm. Bagnell Dam was amazing - I would have loved to fish in the spillway at the bottom since the fish were monster size! The landscape around the Lake of the Ozark is simply spectacular for someone who enjoys nature as much as I do. I would love to go back someday - but from experience - nothing is the same after this length of time - it might ruin my memories of the Estate's ruins, the Spring with its neatly mortared rocks I wish I hadn't waited so long to be a photographer - there was so much beauty there.
