NH bar is a great resource to help find an attorney experienced in the specific areas of the law.
If you are looking to hire an attorney in New Hampshire, look no further than the New Hampshire Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service. No need to just google attorneys and then cross your fingers that you are getting someone who is reputable and experienced. This service pre-screens attorneys to ensure that they're experienced and in good standing with the ethics board. They also verify that they have malpractice insurance (always a good protection). They are a great one stop shop to finding the best resource to meet your legal needs.
This is an important service the NH State Bar provides to the community. A much safer way to find a lawyer than countless other options. Highly recommended.
As a new member to the bar, the NHBA has been one of the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful organization I could have hoped for. When unique issues have arisen, they have always gone the extra mile to understand my question, help me when they could, or point me in a direction to help myself.
Thank you!
i have been working with the NH Bar staff for almost 40 years. They are among the hardest working, most professional and easiest group to work with I have dealt with. They are highly responsive to the needs of NH lawyers and judges. In my experience they do their very best to respond to a wide range of issues brought to them by members of the public. I have never had a bad experience with any member of the NH Bar staff.
First, I am an NH attorney admitted about 2 1/2 years ago. The NH Bar has always been very friendly and helpful to me, and, as far as I know, any of the people I have referred. From a community point of view, I am very familiar with the DOVE program to assist victims of domestic violence. When a DOVE client starts crying and says no one has ever cared about them before, I get the idea that the NH Bar must be doing something right.
i called to ask a simple question and all i got was the run around. government employess.and not bright ones too.
I don't agree with the negativity of the other reviews. The NH Bar Center offers a lot of helpful services to attorneys and to the public. They have a small but useful law library, free conference rooms available to meet with clients who live far away and need to meet you halfway, free photocopies and printing, and a computer and phone in every conference room. You can even book a conference room online, without having to even pick up the phone. For the public, the Bar Center houses the Lawyer Referral Service, the Reduced-Fee Lawyer Referral Service, the Pro Bono Program Coordinator, and the Domestic Violence Emergency ("DOVE") Project Coordinator. The bar aims to aid attorneys and the public, and in my experience has always done so professionally and courteously. In my opinion, the Bar Center staff does not receive nearly as much credit as they deserve.
