I found what I needed but while walking around the mall, way too many stores closing. I am afraid that mall is going down hill fast. Food Court was 1 off brand pizza kiosk. Big box stores closing. The smaller shops are struggling to stay open, most with little stock to sell because the rents are so high.
Still the only place in Concord where you can conveniently get soap then go across the hall to Hot Topic, where the lights get progressively brighter over the years.
Not much of a mall. All the shops are leaving due to the fact the owner of the mall has raised his rental prices to high for the shops to afford to stay. The owner a couple of years ago claimed he was going to make big changes and that the mall would be almost as amazing as the mall of America. He hasn't done anything but run the shops that were there out.
This mall is basically one big ghost town. So many of the stores are closed. There's pretty much nothing in the food court. It's sad too. I remember when this mall had stores, and it was a good place to do your Christmas shopping. The only time I would recommend coming here is Halloween time when the spirit Halloween Store is open. That store gets a 5/5 from me. Besides that avoid this mall. Go to the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester. There are a lot more stores there.
This place is going downhill. Five years agoall of the storefronts we're occupied. The food court had no less than five choices for the type of food you wanted. There were people everywhere.
Nowas of this review, there are two choices for food. The storefronts are just over half filled. There aren't too many people there.
I'm going to give this mall a three star overall rating, in hopes that in the near future I can bump it to five.
Looks like the mall is closing. Not a lot of variety or stores open. Good if you know what you need, but don't assume you can find it there.
This mall stands nearly empty. It is a victim of the continued move to online shopping. On a positive note, the employees at the remaining stores are friendly and helpful.
Convenient and not to far from home. Lots of new stores. Hope they stay this time
It has some nice stores but Everytime I go more and more business close!
Pretty empty place, but it has a theater next to it and both an fye and gamestop.
Pizza place inside seemed ok.
It's always dead , many empty stores. Seems the mall sooner or later will close it's doors. Suggestion. Do something for more interesting New business to come into the mall. Upscale Coffee shops , offer more events at the mall to bring in the crowds.
If you need any more proof that the days of the sprawling mall are numbered, look no further than Steeplegate. How this place remains afloat is somewhat of a mystery, though I suspect it is probably the exorbitant lease fees most malls are famous for. Here you'll find Sears, the Bon Ton, GameStop, and Spencer's Gifts (yes, they still exist), as well as other well-known retailers. However, the place is almost abandoned for much of the year. Empty store front are everywhere, a testament to how little revenue is being generated by most of the businesses. Sadly, there aren't many reasons to make a special trip to Steeplegate these days.
I used to love this mall as a kid, and darn it I still do. If my five star rating can get them some business, than good. Whatever helps. All the stores are clean and interesting, and there are far less creepy people in it that other malls that have fallen on hard times.
