Live music nice atmosphere. The same bartenders have been the forever and that has it's own pros and cons. Good pub grub not too pricy.
I had a good friend in town who I played college baseball with and he wanted to go to a Bar in Provo near his hotel so we could watch the Baseball Home Run Contest.
So, we came here on the recommendation of my Hair stylist (Patrick) at the nearby Shep Studio.
Well, the Burger was surprisingly good and the fries really good. I drank water with a lemon and got timely refills. My buddy drank beer and was served promptly and the staff was pretty cool.
By the time we left this place was getting pretty busy. It had a good big screen tv so we got to enjoy the home run derby in a good setting.
Best bar in Provo (of Provo's two bars). Serves (pretty good) food, friendly staff. Live music (and $10 cover charge) on Fridays, and the cover charge is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They do card at the door so have your ID ready. Two pool tables so sometimes there's a wait to play.
Hole in the wall dive bar. Bar tenders and Tiny are great. Usually will have bands play on Friday. Fun fact, Neon Trees played for some of their first few times next door at what used to be Starry Night. Recommend loaded fries or Hot Habanero burger.
This bar is an amazing little hang out spot. Drinks are reasonably priced and well made. There is usually music playing. There's also two pool tables. This isn't everyone's cup of tea but it sure is a great place to be.
Really friendly atmosphere in this unique local bar. Our first visit was on Saturday, then went back again on Sunday. Bartenders were fantastic.
ABG's has a very good selection of beers as well as a full bar. They have a bar food menu with a good selection of items. The wings were amazing. Best french fries I have had here in Utah since moving here a year ago. The cook was very friendly even bought the food out when it was ready.
I read some of the previous reviews and our experience was nothing but positive on both days. We really enjoyed our visits and will definitely make ABG's a regular stop in Provo.
Just moved from California, so I'm definitely not used to the liquor laws here. Prices for mixed drinks are ridiculously low just like the amount of alcohol that's in them. I stick to bottled beer because they have higher alcohol percentages. I've heard great things about the food, but have never had a chance to order any. This is really the only place to go for the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I'm not considered a local just yet - they seem have cliques here.
The guy checking the I.D's stole $5 from me. The entrance charge was $6 per person. It was my friend and I. I gave the guy $20 and received $4 back. Screw this place.
Cute little bar to rest up after a long day in Provo! Calm and small town atmosphere, low priced beer and kind staff. I didn't like that it had no music, was definitely a quiet bar. Not many bars to choose from, but a good choice- from the perspective of a tourist.
The only bar to go to in downtown Provo! The burgers are amazing, and the drinks are priced right! Plus, they have THE coolest bartenders. All of them, seriously cool characters!
Banned me for accidentally leaving my ID. And did it in an extremely mean way. The bouncer didn't explain anything he just told me to get out indefinitely. I was stunned and just quietly walked out wondering why they would ban me for simply leaving my ID there.
If you're looking for a late night bar with a large selection of beer and hard liquor and an unpretentious feel, this place is the place to go. It's just one of two spots that are still open that I would go to, and I definitely prefer the dive bar feel of this one.
