It is so beautiful and well worth the hike. We took the “Balanced Rock Trail” back down to the Hemlock Lodge where we parked. Highly recommend if you are in minimally good shape.
It has been 15 years or so since we had been here. We were scouting out campgrounds and with the fall foliage it was busy. This is a spectacular place to see. The main trail is .5 miles but is at minimum a moderate one. There are other trails as well in the park that you can to the arch.
Beautiful place. It is a nice hike to the top. And a chair lift for those not able to make the hike
One of the best views of the Red River Gorge
Must visit.. amazing scenery but super touristy. Expect a huge number of co visitors. One amazing thing is you hike to spot or just take the sky lift($13 to and fro ride) not a bad deal. Or one way hike and sky lift the other ($9 for one way)
A brilliantly majestic natural rock formed bridge. Be careful on the edge, there is nothing holding you back.
Great view, and accessible via lift, or trails ranging between 0.75 mi to 4+ miles. The rock garden hike is great.
Great area with many variations of difficulty for hiking depending on how able you are and how much time you have. Great view from an incredibly massive arch.
