We rented Echo Falls cabin for 2 nights but had to leave after the first night. We were completely unaware that the cabin is on well water, and did not know we needed to bring our own drinking water. The well is apparently one of the first ones put in this area according to a neighbor. The water leaves a TERRIBLE SMELL on your hands that stays all day, and it turned our fingers black due to the very high iron levels. We were so disgusted that we did not brush our teeth or bathe. Cooking was not an option either! The phone was not working so we could not reach the management and there is no cell phone reception.
We toughed out the first night, but returned to the office the next day and they were very accommodating to find us another place to stay. Needless to say it took us a couple of hours to pack up and move to a new cabin which cut our hiking time short. However the owner claimed that it was posted online about the well water. I had researched about the cabin and never saw this info about the water. He showed me one page on the Natural Bridge Cabins website where they have added a sentence about the well water. I find it interesting that the descriptions of the place are exactly the same on all websites except for that one additional sentence. It seems that they intentionally leave that info out, and people are unaware when they book.

I stayed in a cabin with my boyfriend for a special event. The staff, cabin and view was "gorgeous" as they say here in the Red River Gorge. If we had any questions they were answered with a telephone call. Even when we had to call after 11:00 pm to get help with the satellite television. We are going to make it an annual trip every year. I highly recommend this company.

I have stay in many of natural bridge cabin. I enjoy everyone of them. The owner are nice. The staff are very kind. They work real hard. The staff help you any way probably. I enjoy the rustic of each cabin. The natural of the setting of each cabin. I would stay again in each of the cabin.

Stayed at Southern Farmhouse and absolutely loved it. We needed some time away to relax and it was perfect. Front porch was great to sit outside and relax but the hot tub and swimming pool around back was my favorite. The kitchen was huge with plenty of room for everyone. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Went for a girls weekend in the winter of 2017 and stayed in the Southern Farmhouse. It was perfect- a cabin in the woods with a wood burning fireplace, front porch with a swing and a hot tub out back. There's also an in-ground pool for the summer months- on my list to visit during that time. The location can't be beat- very close to the Red River Gorge, up the road from the Natural Bridge and great pizza near by. The cabin has all-wood interior and complementary furniture. There were two kitchen tables with plenty of chairs to seat us all. The kitchen is a full kitchen and has all cooking supplies. Just bring the ingredients! We had a blast.

We checked into the Boulder Lodge on 10/27 and it was so dirty that we were moved that evening to the Woodshed. That cabin was also dirty & we had such a bad experience that we left after 2 nights despite paying for 4 nights. We checked out on Sun.10/29 at 10:58am but nobody was in the office so we left the key in the box. We prepaid $930.51 for a cabin that had threadbare comforters covered in gross stains and tears, no mattress or pillow protectors, stained linens, threadbare towels that we finally found in the dryer that had been washed with cleaning rags. One bedroom ceiling was duck taped to cover a hole, the AC vents are so full of dirt that it could not be used and the bathroom had a fly infestation worthy of a horse barn. There were no blankets in the entire cabin and it was 36 degrees outside. The steps had exposed nails that tore our socks and my sons pants. The furniture was threadbare and smelled. The "master bedroom" had threadbare stained linens and the tub had pubic hair in it. The shower leaks all over the floor because the door is not sealed so nobody actually showered for the 2 days we stayed. The stove pans have never been cleaned therefore we were unable to cook. We tried to grill our dinner on the second night only to have a completely rusted out grill fall apart WHILE WE WERE GRILLING on hot coals!!! There was no place to hang coats, not even a hook or coat rack. There are no night stands or lamps so anything that you want to take to your room at night, like water or cellphones, have to be put on the dirty floor. We had to buy our own blankets at the Dollar General just to sleep and nobody dared to use a pillow because the bedding was gross. We had to use our workshop towels that I had in my truck as door mats to keep the mud and wet leaves from entering the cabin. None of the doors stayed shut, siding was coming off the side of the property, and half of the lightbulbs were burned out. I'd give the experience a 1 out of 10 just because we did have hot water and the furnace worked. Our entire trip was cut in half due to a disgusting cabin and substandard rental property performance. We would have gone home on Saturday if the weather wasn't so bad. Having seen two properties in the same condition I'd guess they are all the same. The Health Department should shut the company down until they clean up their acts.literally!

We stayed in Rustic Romance for three nights on Oct 12 -15. The location was close to everything. The cabin cost of $189 a night and you would think at that price it would have been better maintained. The floors were so dirty that my feet were black in a matter of minutes, the kitchen stove had grease on the front and all the knobs, the microwave was filled with a ring of rust under the plate, the refrigerator had a dirty fly swatter, a button, a piece of cheese and plenty of dirt on the top of it, the shower had mold growing on the inside, the rug in the bathroom was filthy and worn out (did not risk standing on it with bare feet), light bulbs were burnt out and cobwebs hanging from different spots. Other than a small shelf with 5 or 6 hooks in the bedroom there was no where to put you clothes, nothing in the bathroom to put toiletries on and no place to even set up your suitcase. The rules were posted and we had to remove the trash and put the dishes in the dishwasher and start it. It was a $50 fee if you moved the furniture out of place, a fee if you didn't take the trash off and a fee for just about everything. It was billed a romantic cabin for 2 with books, movies and games and they were all geared to children!?!?!? Needless to say we were very disappointed. I planned to discuss the issues at checkout but no one was there. The maid left an envelope for tips but she did not receive one from us. He/She clearly isn't doing a good job. We paid enough!

Over priced for a poorly maintained out dated cabin. In 10 years in a row of staying in a cabin in the Red River Gorge in October, this was the worst place. The roof leaked in one of the bedrooms, spiders everywhere, many of the appliance and lights did not work, the refrigerator handle was held together by tape, and it had not been defrosted in years. The decor was out dated and we were scared to sit on the cloth furniture. The volume on the 19" tube tv did not work. We had friends over for dinner and had to bring in chairs from the deck because no one wanted to sit on the scary old couch or rocker. Some of the utensils for dinner were cocktail sized. The floor had a huge area that was not finished. The railings and handrail outside were cracked or broken. And there were dead bugs in the beds. Staying in the cabin made us feel like we were paying to stay in a yard sale. We left one night early it was so bad. I told the lady when were were checking out about the issues. She only said "OH". Not even I am sorry. When I called today, the man was rude and said "You done told everybody, you done told the lady at the desk", and hung up. STAY AWAY. BIG RIP OFF.

We booked last minute, less than 24 hrs from arrival. On our way I read the reviews.. BIG MISTAKE!! My stomach was in knots the entire 6 hr. drive. Upon arrival we were in awe of how nice everything was!! Clean, well maintained and it felt like home. I would recommend this cabin to everyone!! Great communities nearby with friendly helpful people. We felt at home here and will definitely be back. Fully stocked kitchen & bathrooms. The games are awesome for rainy days, hot tub was TERIFFIC and I loved the throws!! I cannot say enough positive things about our stay!! Keep doing what you're doing!! Best choice we could have made to celebrate our 23 yr anniversary!! See you next time😁

My boyfriend and I rented the Tranquility Falls cabin for two nights. This place is amazing! The pictures do not show the beauty of the area. The cabin was perfect for the two of us, very comfortable and clean. We loved having AC and satellite TV to come back to after our long hikes in the gorge in 90 degree weather. As we were leaving a deer and her adorable babies walked across the drive in front of us, seriously love this place! We will definitely be back.

Lesson learned. I will never rent from a company again without thoroughly checking reviews on social media. I paid way too much for a poorly maintained cabin. The company website only posted favorable reviews which I find incredibly misleading because no one with any standards could possibly rate this cabin well. The cabin in question is called Majestic View. It is around the corner from the infamous Elk Haven. Upon entering I knew it wasn't going to go well. Even though the website labeled the cabin as nonsmoking there was a lingering odor of cigarettes. Then I couldn't help but notice the large crack in the 6 ft window which the owner "repaired" with tape. Other cosmetic issues included an ugly air conditioning unit missing its cover, old stained furnishings, loose bathroom tiles, and burned out light bulbs. The kitchen had bare bones cookware and a nonfunctioning coffee maker. The bed mattress was as comfortable as a sofa bed and included only 2 pillows that were flat as pancakes. I have rented many cabins over the years and I have never been so disappointed or mislead. Apparently this company continues to stay in business and ruin many vacations. I hope forums like this will continue to increase awareness of this horrible company.

This cabin could be very nice if it were cleaned and had some basic maintenance. For example, nice shower but the door didn't close all the way so water poured onto the floor. Also, shower head was broken so no way to turn it. Beautiful view but the window sills were filthy. Nice fireplace but unable to turn it on. We never felt locked in because we were never sure if the door was locked. The clincher for me was a funky mildew smell permeating the downstairs. However check in was a breeze. Employees were friendly. Cabin is roomy and has fire pit area and a hot tub. The cabin is named Woodshed.

Absolutely horrendous cabins (stayed here Oct 19th and 20th) -- and the people renting next door to us from the same company agreed with our assessment when we talked with them. We were taken! The website pictures make these places look good, but the experience is very different. We had traveled for 27 days when we arrived at our miserable cabin that cost us $200/night, and every place we had stayed on our trip was tremendously nicer and much cheaper. Don't be suckers and go for these cabins -- they are filthy, and the people running them should be sued for the pictures that they post that do not picture the misery you will feel while staying here. First, the check-in lady was miserably nasty and sour. Secondly, the place was filthy with huge bird poops covering the windows, mouse poop in the drawers, cobwebs on everything, furniture that was appalling and falling apart, outlets that had no covers, filthy switch plates, spotty towels, etc, etc. The hot tub was about as appealing as dirty bath water, with the old cover lying on the ground next to the tub. I would never get into such water unless I was desperate. We contemplated just losing two nights' stay and leaving immediately, but we were near the end of our trip and had planned to stay with a nephew the following night -- he was out of town at training until the day we had planned to arrive. So we decided to spend every minute away that we could and then take sleeping pills in order to manage some rest at night. Don't fall for this like we did!
