Great time and a good place to enjoy some entertainment and find that special treat you wanted. I try to go every year. Something fun for the whole family. Get your tickets in advance and get a great deal.
The peanut festival is a wonderful place to visit. They offer a variety of entertainment events for the public. The parking area has been completely paved and makes arriving and leaving easier during rainy weather. The peanut festival is a fun family adventure
Fun fair not too expensive as far as these things go. Wish it stayed open later. Enough variety to be fun for the whole family.
The longer this festival goes on the worst it gets. The food vendors smell like they haven't changed their grease since the beginning of time, the smell was nauseating. On more than one occasional vendors were not wearing gloves and touching food, utensils and straws with bare hands. The biggest disappointment was the Corn Dog Man, since the son took over the quality of the "famous" Corner Dog man name that would bring people for the name has gone done in quality as the price of it increased. It is pretty piss pour for them to raise the price of the arm bands on the days you reduce the price for entry to the fair. Lastly the shows are not what they use to be, so even the named entertainment stopped coming because the quality of this fair has gone done.
It was my first time going to the Peanut Festival and it was an experience. The lines were long but they moved pretty quickly. The concessions are good and friendly. The only downside was that me and my spouse was turned away from riding the fireball and the claw looking ride because of our breast size but other than that it was ok.
Excellent job hosting local attractions. Go to the National Peanut Festival and enjoy yourself.
I went last year and loved it, can't wait till November
We never attended the festival but we are evacuees from Hurricane Irma and I got to tell you the people at this Festival grounds are really gracious they let us stay here for free and you just can't ask for nicer people they fed us and everything else and I would really suggest everybody doing business with these people just because they're so graceful we would have had nowhere to stay last night if it wasn't for these people and I can't thank them enough thank you and God bless
I love going here when they have concerts and I always have lots of fun.
I didn't really go inside, but you literally MUST NOT miss the opportunity to take a picture with a giant peanut. So iconic.
Great viewing area for 4th Fireworks!
Attended Alabama State Games opening ceremonies here. Event was well organized and location was great.
Ride operators are sometimes rude. All they want is your money. One of the rides didn't have music this year and the operators we're not friendly. This is the place for Dothan to generate revenue and for the ride operators to take their frustration out on customers because they know they can't get away with it at their real job like they can hear.
Great for a family outing. I take my whole family every year. The Grands love the rides and carnival atmosphere.
I've lived here for more than 10yrs, only been to the peanut festival 3times and 11/09/16 was the most fun so far. Pluss there was plenty of seating every time the kids would get on a ride I could watch and be comfortable this year. Maybe just a few more seating areas for us disabled parents. Ty
