Our family loves coming to NFC in Morristown and the Childcare is a huge part of what sealed the deal in making exercising here a true daily and weekly routine. Cassie goes above and beyond in caring for our kids by developing relationships and credibility with them. On days I don't feel like exercising, the fact that my kids ask to go to the gym so they can see her speaks volumes about the type of environment she has established for them. From planning seasonal crafts to knowing what makes them laugh and being able to stop them from crying we are immeasurably thankful for Cassie and the type of leader and influencer she is in our kids lives!!!
Cassie, the childcare manager, is the best asset to National Fitness Morristown. She is so involved with the kids and truly cares for their health, safety, and well-being. She is always planning events for them so they stay interested and active. You also see Cassie involved, not only with the kids and their parents, but with other members as well. Not only is Cassie superb with her responsibilities as the childcare manager, you also see her at the front desk greeting people with a smile and making them feel welcome!
I am changing my review in lieu of recent events. We pay $80 a month for a buddy package and unless the primary member is present the entire time the buddy is made to leave. I understand this is to protwct the facility but why charge so much if this is the case. I feel we will be switching to another gym once thw contract is up. Yes there are some great things about nfc but nothing that is present at other facilities for much less. :(
Would give it a zero if I could. Got a membership, 3 year agreement. Got transferred out of state for work. Called to cancel and was informed I’d have to pay a $195 cancellation fee (which was never explained at the time of signing, representative actually said if my job transferred me the process to cancel is easy). On top of that fee they take 30 days to process your cancellation. So I got charged an extra $86 for the month I didn’t use the gym. They required me to send them a copy of my lease, pay stubs, etc. just to prove I moved (as if a lease wasn’t enough). It was a nice gym I’ll give them that. The rest was a complete crock. Unless you’re GUARANTEED to stay in Knoxville for the next 3 years I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
Typical shake-down where they have an, often poor, person sign a 3 YEAR CONTRACT they can't get out of (like buying a car). They assume most won't use the gym for long, if they did the Fire Marshall probably wouldn't allow that many people in. Instead, they let people drop off, robbing these poor people in this iron-clad contract (the one you'd buy a car with). Then they take advantage of cheap (possibly illegal) labor by using members to teach their classes to reduce their overhead. That's all it is, a used car shop (in morality) under a different name. As a final note, they almost tricked my wife, who even taught for them into re-signing her contract when there was absolutely no need and her bill wouldn't of changed (they just wanted her re-obligated on the contract). Shows the type of people they are. Money suckers. If you want to find someone to help with your health, choose a small business, not this monstracity.
My home away from home! I love visiting NFC Morristown when I'm in town visiting family! Beyond friendly staff and Awesome fitness instructors! A great and fun workout guaranteed with every visit! Keep up the great work!
The prices are ridiculous. 70$ a month for my son and I. Then I move an was told I could cancel no charged if I showed proof. Which I did. Then they tell me No I have to also pay 200$ along with proof. There's no way to get out of the contract. The manager Chad was very rude to me on the phone. The child care cost extra. It's all a big scam for money. Do not come here!
I just want a stepper and I can't shame them into to getting one for nothing
As a former employee, I can tell you this place treats both members and employees horribly. The dues are crazy expensive, there's no way for members to terminate their contracts, and the pool is unsanitary. I've seen trainers video people exercising and making fun of them repeatedly and the management is very pushy.
The few positives include the main floor is pretty clean, there's childcare and lots of classes and kids classes (costs extra). The very expensive membership ($100+ per month) all goes to the CEO. This company treats their employees like crap, making minimum wage, intentionally shorting them hours and denying paycheck stubs.
These people only care about one thing and it isn't about making you feel like family it's money if you have it they "make you feel like family" but all they care about is money! To add to my rant these people don't even do their job right they are supposed to check everybody who comes in and make sure it's the person under the member account or make sure they are of age but they don't they randomly choose who to check and who not to check!!! This gym is not somewhere I would spend my hard earned money. I would recommend the 24hourworkout anytime place it's cheaper and the people are way nicer the only difference is they don't have a pool.
Really??? $15.00 for a day pass. I'm from Myrtle Beach and in town for just a few days and you guys wanna charge someone $15.00 a day just to lift weights? I can go to a Golds Gym in Myrtle Beach for a month cheaper than two of your day passes. Pathetic and highway robbery. You may say no biggie he doesn't live here true but I do own a business here and I am back and forth several times a year, but there's one thing for sure you will never see a red cent of my money. I'm also have approximately 1000 people that my business attracts to Morristown area and you will never be referred. I believe in someone making money but not robbing people and $15.00 per day pass is HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
