Dr.Goldman and his staff have been taking care of my cockapoo Gracie since she was a puppy. She will be 13 years old in July.

.They have always put Grace's welfare first. They will not do any procedure or give any medication unless it benefits Grace, unlike other medical facilities. This animal hospital provides a clean,caring atmosphere and I highly recommend it.

I have been to Nanuet Animal Hospital two times so far, once for each of my cats. Dr. Goldmann seems to genuinely care about each of his patients and has a very caring "bedside" manner. He also explains everything clearly, and provides thorough written instructions when necessary. The prices for visits are also reasonable. So far I trust that this hospital and Dr. Goldmann will do all they can to keep my kitties healthy!

My dog and I both love Nanuet Animal hospital! Dr. Goldman and his entire staff are highly skilled, wonderful-to-work-with professionals that have always taken exceptional care of my pets. My dog actually loves going there because of the friendly, caring way she is treated. I highly recommend Nanuet Animal Hospital!

Nanuet Animal Hospital is the best. I'm a new client and was very happy with the complete examination and shots that were needed. I only wish they offered a senior citizen discount which my previous Vet offered.

My pet has behavioral problems, but he loves going there. Dr. Goldman and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I wholeheartedly recommend the Nanuet Animal Hospital.

We bounced back and forth between Oradell Animal Hospital and Emerson Animal Hospital for a while, but when my dog tore something in his leg neither of those places had acceptable solutions to fix it. My sister did a lot of research and came across Dr. Goldman, called the office to get information, and was so comforted by the staff. We scheduled the procedure as Dr. Goldman suggested, which was unique among all the other options we were told AND the least invasive, and our dog was running again in a few months. They take such amazing care of their animals. We even joke that our dog gets better follow-up care than we do because of all the phone calls to check in! The puppy we got next also goes to Nanuet and when he had a stomach incident that required an emergency visit to Oradell after hours, Dr. Goldman called the next day to see how our pup was doing. I have a new puppy that just started here and they are so helpful and informative. I have now seen their range of care from puppy through extreme senior and the level of care is consistently amazing. We are so thankful for all of the wonderful staff at Nanuet Animal Hospital.

Nanuet Animal Hospital is a wonderful client/pet centered, research informed, veterinary community based practice. This practice has many strengths which make it unique and highly recommended.

First,they are always thoughtful about cost factors. They have provided counsel to me about ways to reduce costs, for example, getting a year's supply of flea/tick/heart-worm medication which includes rebates. This is greatly appreciated as many pet costs are not covered by insurance.

Second, I deeply appreciate Dr. Goldman's time and attention both in session, and in his generous responsiveness via email. If I need to ask a follow up question or inquire about a new symptom, Dr. Goldman or the vet tech staff have always answered questions as needed. They have provided counsel on what concerns can be addressed at home and what concerns require a in-person/pet visit. I feel that this is and additional way they are so thoughtful about cost factors.

Third, as indicated on the website, Nanuet Animal Hospital is a evidence based practice. I have had many conversations with Dr. Goldman and the vet tech staff regarding what the current best practices are in the field. It is invaluable to have this information as they are a trusted source. I have been able to get clarification on information I have researched on-line. For example, if a flu vaccine was needed for my dog last summer.

Lastly, I find the staff warm, caring, and mostly importantly, happy to see my pet-children when they come for their visits. They know Buddy and Sparky and they give them lots of love and attention at each visit. This is important to me as a pet parent. Just like humans and their doctors, Vets and Vet Tech staff should be trusted people in a pet's health-care journey and I am grateful that they are sensitive to the therapeutic alliance and understand that pets too need to build trust with their health care providers over time.

Nanuet Animal Hospital is an excellent veterinary practice, they run their practice with integrity and heart.

Staff was super friendly and knowledgable. Dr. Goldman and Lynda answered all of my questions and were great with my Husky puppy. The building set up is great- separate entrances and waiting rooms for cats and dogs. After bad experiences with other Vets in the area, I wouldn't take my puppy anywhere else.

You know how you take your car to the mechanic with some trepidation, not knowing if you're going to get ripped off for services you don't really need? Well, I'd liken my most recent experience with Nanuet Animal Hospital to the car mechanic experience. Roughly $600.00 dollars later (x-rays, blood test, and 2 emergency visits), Dr. Goldman and his team were unable to diagnose what was wrong with our dog, who suddenly couldn't hold down food and was vomiting anything she tried to eat. The doctors couldn't find anything specifically wrong from x-rays, and told us to just keep her hydrated and try to get her to eat something. They didn't seem to have any sense of urgency as our dog's health declined, only suggesting to keep her on a bland diet and keep her hydrated. We made the dire mistake of waiting a few days to see if she improved before returning to this vet. Only to have him suggest another blood test, which then took another day to get the results (and another $200 - at the "discounted" rate, no less). By this point it was too late - she was excreting bloody stools, barely able to stand/walk, and by the 8th day she had passed away from all the internal damage. I suspected there was internal bleeding from how dark her stool was, but I don't think they bothered to check the stool samples for blood and brushed it off as a side effect of slow digestion. There was clearly a larger problem here that was overlooked (at one point in the examinations my doctor stopped to comment on his technician's manicure and her "fancy nails") - maybe due to the vet's busy schedule, or a general lack of interest, but I'm not really sure why there wasn't more urgency given to my dog's case.

I'm not expecting miracles here but the doctor could've at least tried to make a diagnosis instead of brushing off her symptoms and administering tests slowly (we took her to this vet twice in 1 week because she didnt improve after the first visit. During the second visit he recommended a second set of x-rays, a blood test, or exploratory surgery just 3 days before she died. Why couldn't all these tests have been done when we first came in with the emergency? Why wait until the 2nd or 3rd visit?) If this were a human would it be permissible to allow a patient in your care to go 7-8 days without food? Each additional day we waited for results was another day our dog's health declined, and eventually her body just gave out. Wish I had listened to all my friends telling me to take her to another vet when we still had time. I would not recommend this vet for emergency care.
