Nice pizza place. I recommend the "Holy Cow" pizza. It has roast beef on it! What's not to love?

On Saturday we sat here for over an hour after order taken. This was a party of 4. Told that our order would be out soon on two occasions. We had some apps so it help hunger. Again, I asked waiter what was the delay and he said that they had a 500 take out order that was ahead of ours and we would be next. WHAT THE HECK! Why would you not inform us about that. I felt sorry for the other customers waiting. Food is good but service very poor.

The best pizza I've had outside of Brooklyn. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and great service. Will definitely be back again!

We went to the Nacoochie Village Tavern yesterday afternoon for lunch. There were about 20 of us, Most of which were small children. The staff took amazing care of us and even treated us with cheesy bread, knowing we were all sitting there scared we weren't going to have homes to go back to.. The food was amazing, the tavern was clean, food came out in a timely fashion for 20 people and everyone was so nice. We will highly recommend this place to everyone we know. Our friends own a cabin down the road and we will definitely be back! Thank you again from a bunch of hurricane Irma evacuees!

Good pizza, tasty salads, nice selection of beer. The staff was quite friendly, the music was awesome, and the outdoor patio was most enjoyable.
Others in my party complained about the time it took for the pizza to come to our table, but this is not a big place and it was packed. For a first-come, first-served restaurant we were lucky to get a table for ten at all (let alone in 5 minutes) and enough pizza for our group took a reasonable amount of time to arrive.
Bonus points - someone spent a considerable amount of time putting a shapely butt on the pizza man statue out front.

Went for a late lunch on a weekday, the place was pretty empty, so no wait time to be seated. The wait staff were nice and attentive. The meatball sandwich is big enough for 2 people, along with there calazons. The flavors are really good, however the price isn't in line. For 4 adults and 3 meals it was over $85 including the tip.

Seriously some of the best pizza that I've ever eaten. The Popeye pizza was bomb. The sweet tea was good as well. Prices weren't bad at all ($12 for a 12", easily feeds two). The service was fine despite what others were saying (we waited roughly 20-30min).

Your pizza is always great, but, I have to say the service really wasn't up to any standard this time. I'm a resident of Helen and not only do my wife and I love your place we dine in and sometimes do pick up.
This visit was a call in for p/u. I was told on the phone to give you a half hour for the pizza to be ready (610pm). We live in Innsbruck so I know not leave too early. I left at (640pm).Finally after standing at the bar for about 5 minutes Dawn asked me for my order. At (710pm) our pizza was ready. I know you're busy but I worked customer service all my life and this wasn't it.
If this was my first time to your restaurant it would have been my last.

Edit: Visited it again one year later. AMAZING. Still 5 stars. I ordered the Big Cheese with pepperoni this time. Officially the best pizza I've had in the US. It was so fresh! It was better than the New York pizza I mentioned in my original review. The service was great, no complaints, and the long island iced tea had me feeling quite chill for my visit. Thanks NVTP!

Original review: Just left this place 5 minutes ago. I'm stuffed, and it was the second best pizza I've ever had. The first was a one-off hole in the wall in New York City.

Anyway, I ordered the Holy Cow and replaced the roast beef with pepperoni. Oh. My. God. I ate until I couldn't take another bite. It was so incredibly delicious, and exactly what a pizza should be. The cheese was bursting with flavor and the bake was perfection. As for the service, I have zero complaints. It's located right down the street from the "German" area of Helen, and when my wife and I were unsuccessful in finding a place we wanted to eat there, we stumbled upon Nacoochee Village Tavern. It was clear that this is the place all the locals eat, so we knew it would be good. We were right.

Don't even think about anything else, just go here. You'll love it.

Also, the calzones are HUGE. You won't be able to finish it on your own. Or will you?

Consistently the most awful service. These people truly lack any customer service skills. They are not willing to accommodate the people who are helping to pay their bills and giving them a job. I have seen most of the wait staff get an attitude with customers over seemingly insignificant details. Wait times are always outrageousI've waited over an hour for pizza on multiple occasions. The only reason I return is because it is one of the few places to get halfway decent food in Helen and even that has been lacking lately.

    Also, $10 Long Islands?

Terrible service. Worst I have ever gotten. Should have learned my lesson after the first two service disasters, but this last time took the cake. Ordered to go- food was supposed to be ready by the time we got there, but we had to wait an extra 40 minutes. I watched people arrive before me and leave before me. Food is good, but not worth the awful service experience. Will never go back. If you want good pizza AND service, go to Mellow Mushroom!
