Opening reception for "A heart for Alligator's" has been posponed indefinitely due to Hurricane Irma. The museum itself closed at 10am, Friday, September 8th, 2016, and hopes to reopen at an unspecified date depending on damage that may or may not be caused by the storm.

This is a great little museum. It is in an old buildings that was used as a laundry during the construction of the tamiami trail. Great exhibits.

Awesome little gem museum. So much information about the area and the settler people. I often go to local museums and rarely be disappointed. This nice museum also talks about the hurricanes, the strength of the pioneer people, the Native Americans, the animals and news articles by professionals. There are artifacts and great staff to talk with for more information. Enjoy.
