Worth a stop just because there's nothing much else around this lonely corner. But, the selection of gifts and novelties is pretty haphazard and poorly displayed in this odd building. There are lots of brochures for touristy things to do in the area though.

A small shack on the side of the highway where you can buy cheap Everglades merchandise and find info on the airboat tours. Nothing impressive as you can just drive 5 min further down the road and get all the same info from the companies themselves.

know they do the best they can..however ASK QUESTIONS before you book a tour based on info you pick up at the everglade city chamber of commerce;we booked a tour on CAPTAIN BARRY SEE MANATEES GUARANTED at port of the islands..it was a night mare, our boat driver named andrew licardi jr.(who needed clean clothes and a shower)is an anti government nut used profane words and actions all in front of small children,we did see a manatee as does every one just walk around the hotel sea wall (its free) not $40.00 and at the end of the boooring tour andrew jr told us what we should tip him..when we did trip he stated i knew you were a yankee as all of you are cheap! sorry to say "see manatees guaranteed" is nothing more than a scam and tourist trap, would suggest that the chamber Remove then from the list of attrations for toursit to visit! we have learned that andrew licardi jr has an extensive criminal background!
