We have been going back and forth at another Las Vegas hospital and the three times we went there, not nearly the same level of care here. Staff was very friendly the moment we stepped foot through the ER doors. And overall just observing small acts of kindness from the staff with the other patients was great, especially when most ERs are pretty melancholy in nature. We really appreciated David B, he kept us posted and made my husband (the patient) and I comfortable. He checked back on us frequently and very friendly. Also they were very thorough in the discharging process which we greatly appreciated. Keep up the awesome work!
I went there for a colonoscopy. My insurance was not going to pay so I saved up some money to pay myself. I asked the doctor AND the hospital how much would this cost (maybe even a ballpark.) Well, I did NOT get an answer. It seems like they are more focused on the doctors and the staff and NOT the patients. They were going to send off the samples to a 3rd party and had NO IDEA to what they will charge. I called the 3rd party and they said that they would give me a deal. Well, I told the hospital and they said that NO; they will send it off without my consent and charge me anyway. At that point I told them to give me my money back. This is an outpatient procedure and the prices should be well known. They are NOT patient focused. Try asking before getting admitted "how much will this cost and how much will this cost me." You will see for yourself. I'm not a betting man but will bet you will get a blank stare. Now ask yourself: will you go buy a service where they can't tell you a ballpark figure?
I want the world to know how well organized & how well trained the staff at Mt. View are. I was just discharged a few hours ago & from the minute I got there to when I left the entire staff did their job to the best of their abilities. Well done guys, you didn't cut corners you were very professional about my whole expected there. Continue the great work I'm very fortunate to have gone there thanks again
Just no. Just one of the quotes from their staff this afternoon”I dunno her name, (speaking about me) she was the only one sitting in the room so I grabbed her.” They asked us 5 times what was going on. Horrible doctor to nurse to patient communication. No rooms. No privacy. About 10 random strangers heard my medical history, and what was going on with me, which is NOT ok. Female nurses singing along loudly with music is not ok when you’ve got a room full of sick people. Care a little bit!
HORRID.
I live about 5 minutes from this place and if I was dying, I would rather take the 13 minute ride to Summerlin hospital! Very poor staff just thrown the hole damn place away!
I was seen in the ER yesterday 6/1. My care with all ER personnel was exceptional. I could tell however my internal medicine doctor in the er was new at his job, a resident. Prior to discharge I was given a prescription for a controlled substance. It was made very very clear to me by the discharge lady that I needed all accompanying paperwork to get this pain med filled. I provided all info to my pharmacy at 3pm yesterday. It is currently 5 pm on Saturday and the pharmacy has yet to be able to verify with internal medicine, including prescribing doctor Justin Delanney the total quantity of pills to be prescribed. This is the only info they are missing, based on the law that has been in effect for 6 months, yet was not provided by the doctor. So because Dr Delaney incorrectly provided my prescription, I have now had to visit the pharmacy four times and back to the er to try to remedy the issue myself, all while still in the same amount of pain yesterday and 24 hours still without my prescribed pain medication. Now I'm told by the internal medicine answering service the doctors cannot be reached until Monday. So instead of any one person in internal medicine making a phone call, or writing the prescription as required by law in the first place, I must spend three additional days in the same amount of pain with the same underlying issue as I was sent to the er for in the first place. I will certainly make it very well known within my community that these doctors cannot be bothered with a two minute phone call to remedy their own mistakes on a weekend but instead allow the very rude answering service to tell them they will have to wait out their pain through the weekend to more accommodating hour. I assume this to be an extremely important oversight by the doctor if this is in fact a law regarding controlled narcotics and perhaps the residents should be better trained in these legalities.
I just delivered my baby there last Friday. Overall, I had a good experience. In the 3 1/2 days I was there, there was only one nurse that I wasn't fond of. The rest were great besides the issue of staffing which they had no control of. I had to get two epidurals and neither worked not necessarily the anesthesiologist's fault but I do think there was something else they could've offered. I loved the celebration dinner they put together for me and a guest! Surprisingly really good food.
I was seen today with the unfortunate thought I may be miscarrying. Just finding out I was pregnant no more than a week ago, this all came as a scary thing. I am not from around here so I sought out an ER as per my Insurance Provider's instruction. First of all, I will note I was impressed with being seen almost within minutes of arriving, however, that is the only good comment I have for this facility. I am taken back, given a pee cup and no instruction as to where to go. I ask and am pointed to the non visible, somewhat unclean restroom that was UNLOCKED with an elderly gentleman in it waiting for his nurse to return, claimed he'd been waiting a while. I fetched someone for him. After waiting a small bit, I'm taken and blood drawn, etcI'm sent back to the lobby. I wait maybe 10 minutes and am called back again. I wait in lobby for 30 minutes, then i am called back for ultrasoundto which I have already questioned the necessity of, as the beginning nurse told me would be too soon to tell much. My question is ignored. We proceed back and I am given a very hasty ultrasound and am not even able to look at the screen. (Really?!) I am also told they are not allowed to reveal anything to me and must have the doctor do it. (Doctor never discussed my ultrasound with me.) I am probed, then sent back out into the lobby. (I will say the woman that did this was very kind and to the point. I have zero problems with her.) Anyway, I am sent out and I wait some more and am brought back in to be poked for literally 30 seconds by a male doctor who did not even look or sound like he gave two shits about me or his profession. I attempted to ask concerned questions and he had his foot halfway out the door the entire time. Back to the lobby I am sent. I wait here for another 30 minutes when a name is called.my last name, mispronounced in every way possible, so I'm unsure if it's me. I inquire for the first name. Nurse waits and finally states my first name, confirming it is me they are looking for. I get up (keep in mind I'm moving slowly because I'm in quite a bit of discomfort. Not pain, just discomfort.) I get three steps from my chair and she has turned around. I get to the entry door thinking she will be waiting there for me and it's locked. She assumed I wasn't there, after mispronouncing my last name.To which I would like to clarify is "Willitts." She stated and I quote: "Will-Eye-Tis", so pardon me for hesitating because that is clearly NOT my name. After being literally right behind her I stated to the nurse at the desk that she just called my name and didn't wait for me..I am told she will be right back. After waiting AN HOUR, and hearing multiple recalls of names of people that are not showing up, I am FINALLY called. I waited an hour for someone to take an IV out of me and to be discharged. All the while sitting in discomfort because I seriously had to use the facilities and did not wish to miss being called.
I had C3 to C7 ACDF surgery from Dr Garber at this hospital on 16 July. I was so impressed with the care I was given. From the surgery class I attended, Dr Garber and his surgery team, to all the doctors, PA, nurses who cared for me post surgery were outstanding. The PT, OT were great. Dwayne and Olga was always there for me. This hospital is leading the way in caring for patients. Thank you so much, A+
I hope to never set foot in this hospital again. The insensitive, incompetent, and unprofessional treatment my family recently received here was astonishing. I will certainly never choose to be treated here for anything.
Worst hospital I’ve ever been too. My husband is currently getting seen in the ER they are busy yes but I just watched a nurse cut corners and tell another patient she was getting admitted and all the stuff they were going to do just to find out it wasn’t the correct patient. Verify the patient identifiers Full name/ DOB not VTA chair. No feedback and people are getting out of the chair another patient was in and the station is still dirty not wiped down or nothing I’m sitting next to oxygen someone used and it still has the nasal cannula on it. And we wonder why so many people have the flu. I hope we never come here again.
I love this hospital! Everyone is so sweet. I just wanted to give a big shout out to the nurses in the baby nicu they are seriously the best and took great care of my son when i had him. I felt like he was in good hands
Great service in labor and delivery!!! Nurses are very attentive, food was great, and they make u feel special even when ur not good!! Great job mountain view hospital.
If i could give zero stars I would. Please take your loved one to another hospital. This place is a joke. They don't care about anyone. Not a very clean hospital either.
I am so disappointed I’m in awe of how angry I am of what I witnessed tonight on 8-6-18 at 1:44 am. I brought my husband in because of heart problems. Lady took him in with attitude but took him in obviously she had to. As I’m waiting for him to come out in the waiting room, I see a young mother come in with her child about 4 or 5 yrs old having hard time breathing!! You can clearly see he is turning red/ blue. She’s eagerly asking for help as the “nurses” ignore them!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??!! Desperate mother wouldn’t wait any longer and decided to leave and take him to a better hospital! I will be officially a medical assistant in 3 months and I AM SO DISAPPOINTED! I will never be like your staff! If that is your staff Mountain View I would never want to work for your corporation. I apologize but I would be embarrassed. You need to train your staff! If they don’t like where they’re at then it’s time for them to choose a new career line because the medical field is not for them! Working in the medical field you have to have compassion, empathy, give the attention to your patients they deserve!! If they knew that child was fine and maybe perhaps the mother was let’s say “being dramatic” ( which she wasn’t ) then your job as a medical employee is to keep your patient calm and tell them you’ll do everything you can to help now. DON’T IGNORE your patients please. They’re here because they’re trusting you to help them or their loved ones. Even if you’re having a bad day remember it’s not your patients fault.
Went to Mountain View Hospitals Wound Care department for the first time in my life. The staff and providers are so wonderful and caring each time I go in for treatment. From the receptionist who is so bubbly and helpful, the nurses who truly care and treat you like family, the Director Diana who was busy but said hello and asked if all went well, and last but not least (by any means) my provider April who is top notch. It is obvious they like what they do, they treat people with respect, kindness and care. So refreshing, thank you. Tracie
I love this hospital and there staff, every time I come here or I am admitted the doctors and the nurses are wonderful. This is by far my choice hospital to go to.And today's visit was no different keep up the great work
This hospital is terrible! I was kept against my will for saying "I was going to die" I was afraid and I couldn't breathe! The doctor said I was suicidal and the security guard threatened to rip out my septum ring because I wasn't "allowed" to have it. I was kept for 72 hours and I wasn't allowed to contact my family. My nurse told me if I didn't have insurance, they wouldn't have kept me, that they do this all the time. They also let my friend's step dad die. He took an overdose of aspirin and needed his stomach pumped. They did NOTHING! His name was Mark Painter. This hospital doesn't care about people!
Joan from house keeping is so sweet and really made my stay clean and friendly. Along with dee and jo my day time nurses, Juan I had the pleasure of helping one night didn't make me uncomfortable. Not to forget Skyler who came for the blood his small talk was entertaining. For the two surgeries i had and how many days i was here, I'm glad i was here rather than another hospital.
This hospital is terrible. The service is so slow.
Each nurse has so many patients, how we will be safe in their hands? This hospital should get no star at all.
I was a patient there not long ago and the service is very bad.
