This was the worst experience I have had at a hospital in my 62 years. No one cleaned a room until I made a request. Bathrooms were filthy. If I was not there to clean my husband and clean up his trays he would be filthy. He was is a vegan and they could not get that right. It took 5 days to get him an MRI. I will never take him back to Renoun.

Suffered a stroke in March of 2023. Went to ER and was evaluated and in ICU within a few hours. I understand it takes time for tests so a few hours seems quite reasonable. Also went to Renown Rehab after I was released from the hospital. Staff at both facilities was awesome and very personable.

They got my nephew out safely. And that’s all this hospital did. And it was her doctor, not the hospital at all. Proud to NEVER accept a job there as a licensed nurse. If patients have named the large angry woman at the front desk “Rude-y Judy” perhaps do a little better on your placements in the hospital? Maybe a job that isn’t front facing to the public. She hangs tough to that name. NOT the face you want to see when arriving on the L&D floor.

I had my first pregnancy as an 18 year old. I was given the worst experience that I’ve ever had in any hospital I’ve been to.

Let me start with I had a scheduled c section. The triage nurses were great and they were very nice. The postpartum nurses on the other hand were not the best people. I was getting my meds after I gave birth and my night nurse asked me what my birth date was, I then told her and she responded with “my daughter’s birth year is the same, expect she’s going to prom”. You’re also forced to use the toilet after giving birth and she wanted me to call her every time I tried to use the toilet. At this point, it was my 3rd time trying because it felt like I needed to urinate and when she came into the room she looked so annoyed. My other postpartum nurses were pretty nice. She was the only one that really left a mark on me. I did forget what her name was.

Another part of my time there going through postpartum was they took my baby boy for his ultrasound without my consent or his dad’s. Maybe they took him since we fell asleep? Or because they thought it was okay since we were young… who knows. I don’t recommend giving birth at Renown if you’re having a baby at a young age. They treat you like you’re not aware of things and they treat you like you can’t do things for yourself since you’re young. There’s other things I have complaints for but I’d rather not get into it. These are my major issues with renown.

Surgery center was smooth, staff attentive, professional and efficient . Things went downhill in recovery. It took 4 hours to get out of the recovery room and into a patient room “because the room was being cleaned”. Once in the room and checked in by the RN I was left sitting on the side of the bed for over 30 minutes. Using the call button resulted in no response so my wife had to assist me to get into the bed. I was falling asleep on the edge of the bed and after having cervical surgery, this would be disastrous! Dinner arrived at 8:00 after it being ordered at 5:30. The day shift RN indicated that the doctor botched my original surgery, which was why I needed a second one. She mentioned this 3 times. Did she even read my chart??? Pain meds took 3 hours to be delivered from the pharmacy. The next morning breakfast came at 9:45. What’s with the “discharge lounge”? My personal business being discussed in a room with lots of other people??? Can’t recommend this hospital. Not safe, run down, understaffed and not patient-centered.
