Negative stars if i could. Doctor was completely rude and insulting. Was admitted to this hospital twice within six months for the exact same symptoms. And was told something completely different from previous doctors/diagnosis. Even had an ultrasound to confirm previous doctor's diagnosis. Will never return to this hospital.

Took my daughter in to the children's emergency room two days ago. I LOVED THE STAFF. From the minute we walked in until she was discharged everyone was so kind and made her as comfortable and happy as possible. Professionalism and just the courtesy of the staff was amazing. Thank you all so much. My daughter was in her room watching TV and the cable went out. We didn't say anything (she was extremely sick) but her Dr walked by and noticed it had no signal he said oh no your TV isn't working?! I'll go right now and fix it and he did. Just overall an amazing experience

Wife was admitted and had to get a triple by pass. Dr Medhi the surgeon did excellent work, as did all the staff and nurses. We are very happy with the level of care received here. The hospital was clean, the dining facility was real good, prices vouldnt be beat.
Gift shop left a little to be desired, but care was great. Thank you everyone for taking such good care of my wife.response / report this review -

Great service from start to finish each time I have had to come here. I would drive the extra distance and get good care here than some of the other hospitals in the area! Friendly staff, however wait times can certainly improve.

This hospital has to be by far the best. My mother was being seen for some pain. I had walked up to a random nurse around 930p.m. 10:00p.m. her name was Courtney. She's was just such a sweet heart. I asked if she had change for a 20$. She politely told me that a lot of nurses don't carry change. I then said thank you and walked back to my room. I notice she looked down an saw I was pregnant and came to our room and ask me if I wanted a sandwich and a juice. Her hospitality has to be the best I have seen in awhile. I forever love summerlin hospital always have and I love it even more now due to her kind actions, she didn't have to do.

I had both my babies here and they never disappoint! From where I live, Summerlin Hospital is quite the distance. However, it is worth the drive. The both times I have been here, I’ve had the most greatest & memorable experiences. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Summerlin Hospital.
Also S/O to the RN’s and the doctor in labor and delivery! & to the two RN’s in postpartum, Michelle and Brittany. You guys were great! We were very thankful to be under your care, an experienced staff that went above and beyond. My boyfriend and I really appreciate everything. My ex husband (Theodore Ferraro), for whom I am POA on a living will, has been hospitalized without a diagnosis (no diagnosis has been given to him, that is), and waiting for a procedure that has been scheduled and canceled three times, including today, since 9/6. He is never given any information by the nurses who seem not to want to be bothered by the patients in their charge. He is already extremely weak, wasn't given any food due to the scheduled procedure, which is apparently necessary to produce a diagnostic, and now is being told that there is the 'possibility' that the doctor will come to perform the procedure at 5 pm this afternoon. He'll be without food AND WATER the entire day on a 'possibility!' I am outraged!! Unfortunately this hospital is the closest to his home, reason why he was taken there by a good friend. I can certainly say never again! I'll make sure that everyone close to him knows never to take him there again.

I wish to thank Stacy, Cody, Dr. Pap and all the others who assisted me in my emergency catheterization on a Sunday two weeks ago. The nurses, PAs and the doctor worked quickly to help me and take care of me and alleviate the great pain that I was feeling. They took the time to explain things to me thoroughly before discharging me and they were most courteous throughout my whole visit. I have been in other emergency room settings and have never met more caring people then those at Summerlin. They also were very courteous and respecting of a friend who I had with me. They made sure she was comfortable and well aware of what was happening to me and what would be taking place. Thanks to all of you for the great help and service.

Terrible experience so far! Plan to never make the mistake of coming here again! Been waiting since last night to see the doc I'm two seconds from leaving this hospital they don't seem to care at all about your time!

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! My autistic son got away from me at a church barbecue. He was found by a passerby and called the police. When I found him, there were cops and an ambulance there. That's when the nightmare began. The cops would not allow me to see my son and transported him to this hospital by ambulance( really unnecessary). When I got to this ER, my husband and I were treated as if we were criminals by the charge nurse(nurse ratchet) and two other women nurses. They didn't bother to tell me they were going to admit my son. My understanding by CPS was that they were going to get some info, have him checked out by a docto, which did happen, and then we were going to go. I heard the charge nurse call somewhere talking about admitting my son. When I asked her about it, she was unfriendly, uncaring and rude. My husband and I protested that it was unnecessary and there was nothing wrong with him, one of the nurse goons took my son from me and kept him away. I saw him a little later walking by my room and I went to give him a hug and the nurse ripped him out of my arms as my husband and I were trying to hang on to him. Then the charge nurse told another nurse to call 911. So then the police came and then we had to explain everything to them. My son should not have been taken away from us!! The stress caused by husbands blood pressure to rise and he ended up in the adult ER. I basically didnt get any sleep and stayed in the hospital all night until the next afternoon for NO REASON!!! There were no tests done on my son or anything. He just slept there, ate breakfast and then lunch while he played and watched movies. At least these nurses on the 5th floor were nice, understanding and sympathetic. The ER nurses should take some lessons from them on how to be a real nurse! The doctor finally examined him and said he was fine and could go. Why didn't they just do that in the ER the night before? I could tell he was uninsured and acted his usual way. Complete waste of time! I've never before in my life felt so helpless, humiliated, treated like a bad mom or a criminal!! I hope each of these horrible nurses, especially the charge nurse, gets to experience what I just did, so they learn some compassion and sympathy! They shouldn't be called nurses, but prison guards!!I hope I NEVER have to come back to this awful place!!!

Took forever to even be considered to see a doctor. I had a huge cyst on my side that hurt terribly. When I finally did see someone I was put into a corner, not even an area where they have any medical stuff, looked at in the open hallway, and told they could give me some medications for a staph infection. I never saw a doctor. They gave me medications that ended up not working because it came right back and I'm an incredibly clean person. I did everything I could to keep that from coming back. Then I got one bill that ended up being almost 400. Not too bad. then suddenly they send another bill that's nearly 900??? Are you kidding me? To sit in a hallway and not even see a doctor??? Not to mention charging 80 bucks for the stupid little thing on your finger that they didn't even use again after they had already taken my vitals.

The ER TEAM previously got all 5 stars. I really loved this hospital for being fast and friendly. I arrived at 9:15pm with my 5 year old. She had a fever of 104.7, stomach pains and accelerated heart beat. After other parents got called before my daughter, I did what any other concerned parent would do, get up and ask what's going on. Apparently my daughter was not as important as the other kids. The receptionist told me that the other kids cases were more severe, she then turned to the other receptionist said, "you know, my initials are BS" to which they both laughed and then said, "and I stand true to it." That said a lot to me, especially because they were loud enough for me to hear.
It's 12:48 am and one of the mothers that got called earlier (who showed up way later and we were talking) said that her son didn't have a fever as high as my daughter's. At 1:00am I complained again to which the receptionist came out and again took my daughter's temperature. My daughter asked for water and was told that she couldn't have any fluids or food till she saw a doctor, but we were next.
1:52 am so now a different nurse comes out and tells me that theirs a really long wait, but good news because her fever went down. Wish this was told when I initially signed in, but it's already clear that your time is never acknowledged at Summerlin Hospital.response / report this review -

I am very disappointed in the care I have received in this hospital. I had heart surgery, which went well. The surgical team was caring and informative,however, I can not say the same for the nursing staff. Since being admitted I have been met with uncaring nurses, who are not on the same page. They have not listened to my concerns about my care and I have even asked to speak with the charge nurse, who NEVER showed up. I asked for the charge nurse due to the negligence of a previous nurse who did not change my I.V. when it became painful for even the i.v. fluid to go through and I was not getting the relief from my pain medication . To sum up this experience, my arm was completely swollen with i.v. fluid running out of the puncture site. I asked five, yes five different nurses with in a two hour time frame,to at least bring me a band aid and the need was not met, until the Dr arrived. There are plenty of other examples I could give in reference to the horrible bed side manner I have had to endure,but I will just say; I have never felt like I do now in any other hospital I have visited while here in Las Vegas. I would have appreciated a caring and more involved staff. Nurses make their hourly rounds, just to say they did it. None of them could help me, as their response was, "I will let someone else know."Having a heart surgery is a scary experience and recovery is hard,but the staff here is inconsiderate and uncaring. I pray I never have to go through this again.
