I usually tip well for housekeeping but since they did nothing I left nothing. It is severely overpriced for the quality. Sufficient is the best I can say. Breakfast was a joke and personality was seriously missing. We were warm but had to be very careful walking in there because there were two doorways with exposed tack strips where the carpet was coming up. When the heater cut off it sounded like the floor was caving in and would wake us everytime. I can only assume it was because of expansion and shrinking again. The lights were not working well. If they came on they soon flickered and cut off. We will look for somewhere else next time.
Very old rooms, in need of renovation. Holes in wall (from door handle) patched but not painted. Rooms are generally clean however. Bed was fine and room smelled clean. Not great but not bad.
This property has been fine until I was awakened by the people in the room next to us. The respect of other customers is unreal. I have a sick child on this trip so we really didn't need this to add to it! But as far as the suite we got, I was very pleased and the front desk service was great! She was very sweet and helpful. The beds sleep great and the rooms were clean and nice! Great view of the island!
The room was great very nice and spacious and clean. Was a great price for Christmas weekend. We loved it and would recommend it.
Im not sure why this hotel has such a bad rating. We enjoyed our stay! We rented the two bedroom suite, it was clean and spacious. The hotel was quite and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We will stay here again in the future. Awesome views! And great location! Cons: The pool is indoor but it is not heated. Parking was a bit of a pain but not a deal breaker.
GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is dirty. Breakfast was "day old Krispy Kreme donuts", hard as a rock. There was a dirty mop bucket in the breakfast area with a dirty double sink. There was also a bathroom for the employees next to the breakfast. Toilets with food. Um no. Please make note: they do not change your sheets unless you ask them to. There was a stain on our sheet and when they supposedly cleaned our room, that same sheet was still on the bed. They did not vacuum the carpet either. Wear socks or shoes while in your room because the bottoms of your feet will be black from the filth. The beds are extremely hard. Bathrooms are extremely small. We didn't get a new bag for our ice bucket but rather we came back to our room to the same bag filled with water since the ice had been melted from the night before. AVOID LISA at the little table selling you discount tickets to shows at all costs. She LIES. She told us the 90 minute seminar we would be going to would only last 90 minutes and if it ran past that, simply stand up and let the rep know that we have to leave and they would give us our gift - NOT TRUE. We sat at the seminar for 1 hour and 45 minutes and hadn't even been taken to see a cabin yet. My husband told the rep taking us to see it that it's past 90 minutes and we need to leave so could we get our gift. Some elderly woman approached and was very abrupt and rude. She told us that 90 minutes is the very minimum. We told her that Lisa from Mountain Vista told us that after 90 minutes if we had to leave, let the rep know and they would give us our gift. The elderly woman told us that since we did not even look at the property that we were not entitled to the gift. We told her to look at the paper we filled out, Lisa had written on it 90 minutes. The elderly woman then went to her boss and they basically gave us a check to get us out of there. This hotel has a 2 star rating which should not be given any stars at all.
Please do not stay at this Hotel it is not taken care of we only stayed 1 night . We booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The apartment was in bad shape, run down. They really need to do a lot of updates to this place and they charge a lot of money and it is not what you think or worth the money. I will never stay there again. It is sad that people false advertise there rooms and take advantage of people who only want to get away and enjoy there vacation to arrive and see this. I just to warn others so they can find better place for their hard earned money. Shame on you Mountain Vista.
Let's start with the parking, there's not any. 6 spots on the side and maybe a couple up front. The cleaning guy does not speak english. We asked for an extra pillow and blanket for our toddler and was told they did not have any. Room we was in did not have an ice bucket, we asked for one, was once again told they didn't have any more. Handed us a bag and said put your ice in that. Toilet not tightened down to the floor. No coffee pot in the room. Indoor pool shut down and green. Front desk is not friendly by any means. Will not be back.
Hotel is very convenient to everything! Carpet in room was disgusting, every time my 2year old son would walk in the room without shoes, I would have to literally wash his feet before entering bed! Had to ask to have the floor vacuumed. Room service sucked! Things had to be asked for upon request. Lady at front desk was sweet and helpful, she made me feel welcomed.
Where to begin? Should I start where we found a cockroach? Or the point that costumer service was horrendous. If I had the option to give them negative stars I would. I DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! there is nothing that I can say really positive about the place other than I can see the mountains. If I go outside. The floors and rooms are dirty and the pool is not something I would trust. Either way if you are into dirt insect infested motel room than you have found the right place! Will not be back.
This is a nasty hotel I can't even rate it. You take a shower and your feet get nasty from walking around in there. There were other peoples things left from before so it definitely was not clean crumbs in the floor and the pool was nasty as well. it stinks in the elevator it was probably one of the worst hotels I've ever been in!!!!
Where to begin. . . To be fair they are renovating, but it seems the work has only been done in their lobby and office spaces. A poorly maintained place and even more poorly managed. Torn carpet with exposed carpet tacks as seen in photo, trash that I did not put in the corner of the shower still there when I left. Proof positive that the guest experience and cleanliness of the building are secondary thoughts. Don't bother planning on the complimentary breakfast. They know the juice machine has been broken for a while but fail to realize that Publix next door sells juice in containers so their guests can still drink! Locked lobby doors when the worker decides to leave before the next one comes. Don't stay here unless you can't afford any other place (or bridge).
The hotel is very basic and doesn't have much. When we first got there the door didn't even lock. And the tub leaks. It's nothing like the pictures online. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Pool looks nasty. Very very bad experience. Do not stay at this hotel.
This is a last choice hotel; if you can't find any place else to stay. Pictures are deceiving. Doors sticks. Not very clean. 3 bedroom suite only have Windows in first room. Strange setup. Rooms are straight back with bathroom and sink between 1st and 2nd bedrooms. No kitchen or table, and no sitting area. Pictures are very deceiving. Not worth the money. Giving a 2 since it is shelter.
The hotel provided a good experience. It was centrally located, with a few short minutes of every spot we wanted to visit. We booked a 3 bedroom, and the room setup was unusual, but nice. (It consisted of three small bedrooms, strung end to end.) We were expecting one king and two queens beds, and though it may have been a mistake, we ended up with three kings. The rooms are a little dingy, especially in the bathroom, which could've been better maintained. (The fan has been removed and not replaced, the sink drips constantly, and the tub is in need of caulking.) However, the beds were very comfortable, and having separate beds and rooms for each of us made it well worth it. Overall, it was a worthwhile choice.
