Nice campground if you have a boat and want to enjoy the water! Area doesn't have much more going on but the lake is beautiful

Very nice camp spot we had loved having the hook ups it was so peaceful an they was having fun things to do with the kids on Saturday such as pirates etc sooooo neat loved the pool, bounce thing, an golfing. Pizza was absolutely wonderful!¡!¡ c yall next summer

Very nice large campground. Summersville Lake is awesome. Great location close to the rafting meccas at New and Gauley rivers. We stayed in the yurt, I loved it, they offer more room than the cabins, and have all the same amenities.

Best campground close to the lake and I've stayed at the 2 other well known campgrounds at Summersville Lake. Speaking for the primative sites only, they are very spacious and not crunch in together, they're actual primative spots, like you would find if you trekked into the forest to camp or out in a field. Awesome spots for in the pines or open spots for star gazing. Lots of trees for hanging hammocks. Great for staying with little ones as well, lots to do. Definitely going back!

Oh man, all the good stuff for family friendly camping. That had lots of stuff for the kids and conveniently located near some awesome lake access areas :D

This place was great! There are a lot of amenities which is great when you have small children. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is they lie about the beaches. They claim to have a beach for swimming, but it's covered in rocks you couldn't go barefoot there, the worst designated swimming area I have ever seen. They also say they have a dog beach but really it is literally gravel in place of sand. The beach issue is the only reason why I'm not giving this place five stars.

It would be such a nice place if it was kept up with. Way over priced. Not to mention being in the shower houses as they over flow with feces water.. shut down all day. Not offered any compensation and staff was extremely unprofessional and rude about the situation. We all know these places make a killing off of campers.. fix the issues!! Everyone stressed how this is a reoccuring issue they have with their bathrooms and showers. Will never be going back and recommend the same.

Great place I recommend going on the trail just below the airport it's not to steep and it 4 miles and ends up at a beautiful cliff outlook. Danger do not ride bikes near the end you will go off the edge and die.
