For the price, it's a great place to stay, though you definitely feel that they are cheapening things more and more, every time we stay here. We travel through this route quite often, and usually stay at this specific Motel 6. The General Manager is really, really nice, which contributes to the pull of the place. The rooms were recently renovated, and are quite nice for a budget motel, but now they feel very sterile. No art on the walls, no decor of any kind, no comforters on the bed, no shampoo, only two towels for a room with 2 queen beds, etc. In everything, you could feel that they are trying to squeeze pennies out of the guests. For example, the two supplied soap bars were so small, you couldn't even keep them in your hand while trying to wash.
I would leave 4 stars which is pretty much what really good can get. Not the Hilton and I’m sick and tired of people knocking motel 6 for the lack amenities. If on vacation and can’t afford the holiday inn well maybe you shouldn’t be on vacation. Anyway for a business traveler this place is great. Clean sheets, towels and rooms over all. As a business traveler that’s all I need and I love this place.
They get 2 stars cuz you can’t get in the side door after 10 even if you have a key. Makes no sense. Yea lock the door to people who don’t have a key but hope they change that.
Motel 6 has really cleaned up their act. They seem to be modeling their rooms in the Euro style. The room was very clean, open and simple.
The check in woman with the Tim Burton tattoos was really helpful and friendly and a pretty neat montage on her arm. I would definitely return.
The price was good. Our room smelled clean & the sheets smelled nice & clean. We appreciated the sm.
fridge. We didn’t care for the firm mattresses & were surprised by the lack of the usual amenities. No tissues, hair dryer, clock, pad of paper or information about the area.
I knew there wouldn’t be breakfast, but it seems the other basics should
be available. We unfortunately had a car right outside our window that had it’s alarm go off 3 or more times the 2 nights we were there. Maybe the motel is in the middle of renovations
& will improve the common areas. If not, it looks like it’s going downhill.
The room was a little stark. A more comfortable chair (1) would have been appreciated.
Also would have appreciated a fresh cup of coffee when leaving. Yes, I did leave early, 3:30AM. Any reason why a small pot could not be available for the early departures?
Everyone was just great. This was our first time staying at any motel/hotel with our tiny Yorkie. We were very comfortable. Sarah was the one who really went above and beyond helping me over the phone. Juan was very considerate and accommodating while we were there and there were 2 other ladies who were very nice, one named Ladonna (I think) and one more lady that I didn't get her name. Very, very nice employees.
Very friendly staff, very accommodating to the dog event that weekend. Nice, big room that was clean and bed was very comfortable. The rooms were also extremely quiet, despite the number of guests staying there. I am only sorry the majority of your guests did not pick up after their dogs.
Great place to stay. Very clean spacious rooms. Good pool that stayed open late for the kids. Friendly front desk people. Awesome free breakfast in the morning. Basic motel. Comfy beds. Only thing we didn't like is our room smelled like it had been smoked in previously & we had a non smoking room. Would stay here again.
Great location right off the highway. Currently having renovations done but did not affect the rooms. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Nice indoor pool.
The hotel was nice and clean, despite the remodeling going on currently. The front desk staff were so pleasant and made check in and check out a breeze. The only thing was the beds were a little too firm and the pillows were basically flat. Otherwise, it was comfortable for a one night stay.
We arrived 4 hours later than planned but the staff was very polite and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy. The motel is under going renovation. The hall carpet shows construction. Our room was a renovated room with a king size bed. We liked the hardwood floors and new tile in the bathroom. The room was clean. The mattress was new, fresh and made correctly. We asked for extra pillows; no problem. The day staff people were polite and helpful. We like Motel 6 because we travel with our dog. We highly recommend staying here.
We were here because of a family reunion at a Ohio State Park about 1/2 hour away. We were happier staying at this motel then at the park.
We hope to explore more of the area in the future so we plan on staying here next time we are in the area. You can't beat the price either.
I really liked how that motel was set up. I liked how professional the staff was. I also liked the quality of the room I had was great. I liked how great the staff was and how good they were about the construction. The people that did some of the remodeling work in my room were great and were very mindful of me being in my room.
The staff was great. I liked the way the hotel looked and how it didn't look like the typical Motel 6. I loved the layout of this motel and I had a very positive experience there, I also liked it that the entrance was on the inside of the building, I liked having a huge window, the pool and hot tub were a very nice addition and I felt that I was staying at an upgraded version of the motel.
some of the construction was obtrusive and I didn't like having the tech working on my door lock. Luckily I was in the room while he was there and I understand that updates need to be done but guests should not have to be bothered with it.
We stayed one night in Richmond, In. The clerk was very polite and got us in quickly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The cost was affordable. Only issue was I had reserved a room with a King bed online, but when we got there, we ended up with a 2-queen room. Motel 6 was remodeling and didn't have the kings available yet. Maybe shouldn't advertise them. Otherwise - very good!
