The room we stayed in had a great view of the lake. We even saw a bald eagle roosting in the trees. The 2 dinners a breakfast we had in the Lodge's restaurant were delicious. My one small comment would be that service may be slow since they only have one server working. We did visit off season though.
Our horse club had our Christmas Party in one of the beautifully decorated dining/party rooms with a huge fire, delicious food, wonderful service. Thank you for a wonderful evening! The place was decorated up with over 70 trees for Christmas. We also enjoyed walking around the lodge looking at the decorations! Many thanks for a great evening! We will be back and we will spread the word!
Stayed here this past weekend for a wedding, and it was beyond an amazing weekend. We stayed at the lodge the entire weekend. First off our room was extremely nice. Everything was kept up to date and well kept. Our first morning there we had breakfast there at the restaurant and it was perfect! The service was quick and the food was amazing. My fiancé got the buffet, and it was all fresh food and very good options for it. This was my first time ever staying at the lodge and after this weekend, it’s making me want to go back very soon!

Service is amazing as usual, views and lake are beautiful! First room was great, second room needs some maintenance. Nature center seems to have gone down hill some.
Staff was terrific. Wonderful building built solid in the 1960s and recently updated. We had great weather in August. Sadly the building is in need of maintenance. Missing drinking fountain, holes in walls, doors not working, woodwork in need of staining, shuffleboard sticks and disc badly damaged, disc golf course unkept with poison ivy, 20+ vultures roosting outside on the roof and chimney, only one pontoon boat worked at the marina, If maintained this would be an amazing lodge.
The Lodge is clean and updated. The rooms are very clean with very comfortable beds. The restaurant is good, as well. We did breakfast and lunch here at the Lodge and no complaints. The pool was nice. The one thing that freaked us all out, were the vultures. There are so many of them flying around. They sit on top of the lodge and they even sit on the playground equipment and at the pool, early in the morning. I do with The Marina has more boats to rent. They only have 3 and there is a waiting list. If you are only going to have 3, then allow reservations. No one wants to sit at the marina all day waiting for their name to be called. Back to The Lodge, they have nice fire pits out back to roast marshmallows, with great chairs to sit and enjoy the view. I would recommend this place to anyone, and we will be back soon.
We have stayed at the lodge with a balcony overlooking the lake and in the Premier cabin. Both are equally amazing. We wished we could freeze time when we were staying in the cabin it was so wonderful. We happened to go this past weekend when the weather was just exquisite and sitting out on the screened patio with a view overlooking the lake was just amazing. We roasted s'mores in the fire pit. The pizza at the lodge bar is amazing. The restaurant is also as well. Our family just absolutely loves this place and we'll probably go year after year forever. It is simply nostalgic to us and we just love it there. The pools are nice too.
Actually stayed in the campground at Hueston Woods and went to the lodge just to check things out it was very nice the staff is very friendly and to buy a pool pass for the day if you're camping is only $10 which is pretty reasonable compared to other campgrounds have been to. The view from the lodge is hard to beat they were doing a wedding in here and it looked pretty cool to me the room prices were kind of high but they did have Monday through Friday deals and deals for seniors so that's pretty cool. I recommend checking out Oxford it's a cool little town.
Desperately needed to get away. A friend recommended Hueston Woods. I checked it out and was very glad I did. It was far enough a way while yet being accessible. The cabin was clean and accommodating. The staff was kind and courteous. They really worked with me to help me get the best price for my allotted time. I highly recommend a week in The Woods to help restore balance and clarity to one's mind and spirit. Ask about their specials. .we got an extra night :-) I would definitely recommend Hueston Woods and I definitely be staying there again.
Hueston Woods Lodge is a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled in the southwestern Ohio countryside, the park offers many outdoor activities including golf, hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, fossil collecting, and more. The lodge is spacious with beautiful architecture and furnishings. The hotel rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the restaurant has terrific food at very reasonable prices. Great for families and couples, Hueston Woods is a wonderful vacation spot.
We went to the Trailblazer restaurant. I had the brisket. It was melt in your mouth good. The bananas foster was good. I felt the drink glasses were too small. My wife had the Bruschetta and loved it.
The area was wonderful. Hiking was excellent. Outdoor pools weren't open. Indoor pool had poor hours. Didn't try breakfast or lunch. Had dinner buffet, nothing to write home about out. The event was poorly put together. Room was nothing special.
